5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD!
This is one of Mariah's better single's. The remixs are awsome! And the So So Def is version is tied into Biggie's part of "It's all about the Benjumins". Tracklisting: 1. Album Verison 2. Bad Boy Remix (featuring Ma$e & the Lox) 3. Classic Mix 4. So So Def Remix (featuring JD & Da Brat) 5. Classic Instrumental. Go on and buy it.

1.0 out of 5 stars A "No Go" It ain't of fire.
It's too bad that someone can't just stay pristine and beautiful in the world of the music business...or at least pretend to. Ms. Carey takes her singing, producing, songwriting and overall act to new depths. A song as lude as "Honey" doesn't constitute four (bad) remixes that all sound the same, except for that AWFUL rapping noise that sounds surprisingly...

4.0 out of 5 stars Now THIS is Better!, July 25, 2002

Who knew that P. Diddy could produce a song this good? They say miracles happen, and this song is one of Mariah's best. A juicy hip hop number oozing with sensuality. The David Morales house mix is even better. This is one of Mariah's VERY few good singles and deserves a listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic mixes give great classic house beats, October 4, 2006

Any DJ knows that throughout the 90s, Mariah's 12" remixes would always have one or two slammin house mixes of her otherwise (in my humble opinion) sometimes boring, rapper-drenched tracks. After a while I just kinda gave up on Mariah, I like her alot but I couldn't get with the awkward mix of her sweet sounds and the overbearing rappers. Old Dirty Bastard??!! WHY?? But in any case, the Honey 12" has two classic mixes that I think are SO friggin hot. They are positive and make ya feel good and I'm glad different vocals were recorded especially for the classic tracks. Honey is an okay song but its the extended classic mix and dub that gets heavy play in my cd & mp3 players; not to mention the BEEEEEAUTIFUL photo of Mariah on the cover. YOWZAH!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonderous. I've always loved her innocence. Here, the fireworks began! 4.25 stars., December 4, 2007
This review is from: Honey (Audio CD)
I love all of the different versions but I like the Bad Boy Remix and the original most.

A great song: "I can't be elusive with you, Honey/Cause it's blatant that I'm feeling You/And it's too hard to leave abruptly/Just another taste of your Honey/Cause you're the only thing I wanna do"

Love these few lines too: "It's like honey when it washes over me/You know sugar never ever was so sweet/And I'm dyin' for ya, cryin' for ya, I adore ya/One hit of your love addicted me/Now I'm strung out on you darlin'/Don't you see every night and day/I cant hardly wait for another taste of honey

5.0 out of 5 stars "and it's just like honey...", March 14, 2003

This is one of Mariah's BEST singles! Any fan knows this no doubt! Sean "Puff Daddy" (now P Diddy) Combs produced this slinky R&B/Hip-Hop tune which also samples an old-school song called "That Body Rock" (when the piano chords bounce up and down throughout the song). Her vocals are in tact, and it's a great single to open up her amazing album "Butterfly" (also worth checking out). All of the remixes are great, including a dance-infused Morales Mix and the Hip Hop-ridden Bad Boy Remix featuring Ma$e and The Lox (though we could do without Ma$e). The video for "Honey" is no doubt one of the best videos ever made (yes... it even comes close to Michael Jackson's "Thriller"!). I got this CD in 1997 when it came out and it was at a decent low price and I urge you to do the same and support Mariah. The other commercial single released from her "Butterfly" album is "My All" which is also reccomended. "Honey" was a #1 hit into making and I wish she would have more songs like this or work with P Diddy again! A+(+)

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like remixes like I do, February 13, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Honey (Audio CD)
A lot of people say that the remixes sound exactly the same, and when I first bought the CD, yes, it felt that way. I dare the critics to listen to all the cuts 5+ times (I know, do I have anything better to do with my time?) Trust me, in due time, the cuts will hit you like you've never been hit before (especially the 7mn and 9mn ones). If you love remixes like I do, the dance remixes (the PDIDDY sounds the same) are INCREDIBLE, pure energy. If you're into Oakenfold, and those pure pure pure Madonna remixes imports, BUY this!!! I guarantee you will love it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars SHE IS SO AWESOME- SHE'S THE ONE AND ONLY POP DIVA!!!, April 8, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Honey (Audio CD)
Mariah's been wowing us since the old days of Vision of Love but in Honey, she slips into a sexier role of a butterfly. This song is one everyone hasta love. S'got hip hop, pop and an R&B ring to it. Mariah is so cool and so is every song she sings. Instead of gettin the single, get Butterfly 'cause S'got the exact same song as this. She is a true DIVA!!!
