kushner's book is quite simply THE book to read if you have any interest at all in jewish mysticism. Totally accessible to anyone. Kushner has written several books after this one and most are also excellent but this is the place to begin.

Format: Paperback
In Ray Bradbury's classic SF novel "Fahrenheit 451"--that being the temperature at which paper burns--book-loving residents of a dystopia save literature by memorizing a book, *becoming* the book to save it. "Honey from the Rock" has for almost two decades been the book I would choose to memorize. In fact, I've probably got most of it by heart even without trying.

This is not the book for anyone looking for a detailed, factual description of Jewish mysticism; rather, it is more like an immersion in the mysticism itself. A beautifully wrought piece of work, full of insights and deep understanding, not all of which is explicit.

Pure gift!

Mysticism and spirituality have become trite words in modern secular society, but this book really makes a good case for reading and understanding on a higher level
