There weren't many reviews on this set, so I wanted to try and help out any potential buyers.

I bought this a few months ago so my son could have a 'big boy' bed, but we wanted the stairs (instead of a ladder). He loves it.

The finished wood looks nice and is good quality.

Assembly was fairly simple. I had one person to help and that worked out perfectly. Make sure you are aware of which bolts you are using and that they are used in the right spots.

The main reason this gets 4 stars is because of the quality of the drawers (the construction and hardware):
- There is some extra space between the slides on the sides of the drawers and the rollers, so they don't stay on right and are not smooth (think about cheap kitchen drawers).
- They are not put together very well (no dove-tail of any kind), it's your standard quick and easy (which = cheap) construction.
- It would be nice for the 3 drawers that slide under the bed to have something to keep them in place - just the simple force of closing the drawers can make the whole structure slide under the bed.

The other issue I have is that it is really hard to make the beds without pulling the matresses off (as ours is against the wall, which I would imagine 99% of you would have the same setup).

The two cons of this bed are not enough for me to give it any lower of a rating, the actual bed itself is nice.
