For Erykah Badu, she had came a long way from her last few albums. While she hasn't scored big with listeners as was the case with her first record Baduism, she still has shown time and time again that she can carry a tune, and her latest single really does work well. Honey, the first single from her 2008 album New Amerykah Part 1, is a very upbeat song that is great to listen to. Unlike other acts like Kelly Rowland or recent American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks, who've tried to get great airplay, Erykah is just a reminder of what great tunes are really like. The song is one of her best in over six years, after her collaboration with Common on Love Of My Life from Brown Sugar. I hope she can keep it up, and keep the audience coming again.
