I am a homeschool mom and research lots of books and materials. This is the best childrens bible I have seen. I bought one for my 9 yr old son. He loves it he has been walking around the house with it all day. The only problem we have had is choosing who gets to read it. He keeps having to ask me for it back. It is a really fun interactive way to learn the word!

This is a wonderful book for children. The illustrations are great and my child loves looking at them over and over!

I had been looking for a Bible for my five year-old that would be engaging and present God's word in a fun way. I also wanted him to learn things in a way that would "stick." This bible does just that. Each book of the bible is presented with a character that sounds like the actual book to help children remember it well. There are verses that are highlighted throughout the bible that are key to the message of the book. So far, we love it and my little boy has already learned a great deal. I recommend this bible for anyone who is looking for a way to teach their children to hide God's Word in their hearts.

What I like best about this Bible is that they have several highlighted verses for each book. They use little mneumonic devices to help kids remember the meaning of the verses. Very good. They're picture system is a bit complicated at times (they have pictures that symbolize the numbers for the chapter and verse) and at other times very cute and usable. This is a good Bible for kids who like to read or are in upper elementary school.

My 8 yr old son saw a friends Honeyword bible and asked for his own. He now wants to read the bible everyday. The concept of making God's word stick is so wonderful. It keeps him reading it, as there are the Clickers every other page or so. They really help to explain the different stories of the bible.

Many children and adults, know scriptures, or parts of scriptures, but do they really understand the character of God that is in the scripture.

Children win blue ribbons for memorization of scriptures in Sunday school but do they know what it means. It is much more important for a child to understand who God is and the messages he brings to our everday life than memorization of words.

If children know God's heart and love He has for each of them individually, they will grow up contributing to the world rather than existing in it.The HoneyWord Bible is a must for all parents and children.

Caution to Parents! You may want to buy a copy for yourself. I guarantee you will refer to it often yourself.

I have carefully reviewed several children's bibles but this is the only one I can fully recommended as meeting two very important points. First,none do a better job than the Honeyword Bible at making a connection between great illustrations and biblical truths that stick in your child's memory whether he/she is a visual or a auditory learner. Mr. Cooper has used familiar symbols to remind us of God's word throughout the course of a normal day. Second, the New Living Translation (NLT) they will never outgrow. It will bless your family reguardless of age.

The Honeyword Bible is given a 'light' touch using the New Living Translation. Humorous caricatures are interspersed to describe the Books of the Bible and certain terms or phrases as they appear in a passage. I bought quite a number to give as gifts for adults - two of whom teach Sunday School and young adults. I can recommend this edition for those who want a 'readable' Bible. The size of the print is appropriate for a child's use or an adult with vision problems.

The hardback Honey Word Bible purchased on Amazon.com was in mint condition as indicated. The recipient enjoys reading this bible every night.

My boys love this Bible! I bought one for my nine year old and he reads it on his own. He has put markers in favorite passages so he can go back and read them. My six year old liked it so much he asked for one, too. So I ordered one for him and he is also reading it on his own. Great Bible for kids.
