i was recently given a cd with a variety of Danish music by someone i met from Denmark, and i must say Tim Christensen is by far my favorite on the cd. every track is unique--i've never heard anything like his music! Jump the Gun is one of my favorites--its a perfect medium between headbanger rock and mellow rock...Whispering at the Top of My Lungs is also a great song--full of guitar and soul. Tim Christensen is a must-listen for fans of ANY music genre!!

Tim Christensen from the danish band Dizzy Mizz Lizzy goes solo. This is his second album on his own, and it definitely hasn't hurt him to be alone. I'm not sure what the genre is called, but it's good music. And it contains the song from the emmy-winning series "Nikolaj & Julie" - Right next to the right one.

I came across Tim using LastFM when I was looking for music that sounded like the danish band Kashmir. I first heard the song 'Surfing the Surface'. It immediately took my breath away. I simply love the combination between the rock sound and the seventies soul influences. His voice touches me somehow. When I listened to the other tracks I was even more impressed by this guy. It has been a long time that I loved a complete album! The last song 'Whispering at the top of my lungs' is absolutely amazing. The silent verse, the happy bridge and the dramatic chorus. Swinging from one emotion to the other. That's like life itself, and that's how I love music.

It has been years, and I mean YEARS, since a piece of music has moved me like this. This has no contemporary equal. Gorgeous music, sad, romantic, compelling lyrics, wonderful singing, and a dash of mellotron to take the proceedings to a spellbindingly sublime level. This disc is expensive and worth every penny.

I was a bit sceptic when I bought the album "Honeyburst". Tims first solo-album was phenomenal. How on earth would he be able to come up with a "sequal" just as good???But having listened to the album a few hundred times its one of my absolute favourites. A wide variation of moods. And along with "Secrets on parade" Tim has made himself a unique musical universe. His fingerprints and unique remarkable sound is all over the productions. SUPERB, Tim. Love your concerts as well! ***** |
