Book Description

This book is part of our Coffee Table books that will fit on your Kindle.

The title of this book is “Blue Honeycreepers” because of the bright blue coloring in the Red-legged and Yellow-legged Honeycreeper male birds. When I started writing this I was amazed at the lack of information about these really interesting birds. The internet had mostly rewritten information from the Honeycreeper Wikipedia page. So I set out to try and create not just a photo book, but a book that included some facts about the birds and commentary on their behavior.

The photos for this book were taken in a certified bird conservatory which means they might not be behaving the same that they do in the wild, however from what I have been able to learn from the various references I was able to find their behavior is pretty much the same.

I hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed putting it together and as much as Vinny and I enjoyed photographing them.
~ Deborah Carney

This book has full color photos for Kindle apps and the Kindle Fire that support color display. The photos will also display very nicely in black and white.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous photos! February 23, 2012

I've been a fan of Deb's butterfly and flower photography for several years. When I saw she had a book containing photos of birds, I couldn't resist grabbing it. Being a nature photographer myself, I always love admiring the work of other photographers. Deb and Vinny put together a great book with not only photos of the Honeycreepers, but enough dialog to familiarize you with the species as well. Love it guys! Keep up the awesome work!

With gorgeously colored photos, this book would certainly brighten up a coffee table. Meanwhile there are just enough facts to inspire conversation between readers as the pictures pass.

More About the Author

Deborah Carney has been a freelance photographer for over 35 years, covering events, weddings and cat shows, in addition to macro and general nature photography. Her cat photographs were published by T.H.F. publications in two of their cat breed books, one about American Shorthairs and the other featuring the Sacred Cat of Burma.

Additionally, as a prolific photographer with an eye for details, she will be publishing a number of books that are photo based with information about the photographs in them. The ability for these photos to now be able to be enjoyed in color on eReaders and eReader apps has inspired her to create a multitude of books on a large variety of subjects.

Her favorite subjects to photograph are butterflies, hummingbirds and macro images of flowers, in addition to wildlife and nature of all kinds. There will be many series of books about nature in general and by species, and wildlife plus beautiful locations that she has photographed.

Deborah Carney has been involved in online marketing since 1997, with a variety of web projects. Currently an award winning affiliate program manager, internet consultant, blogger and podcaster. Carney started the popular ABCsPlus series of podcasts to teach people how to make money online. Carney has also spoken at many affiliate industry events and has a long history of public speaking and writing on disability rights and issues relating to children with disabilities.

Currently Deborah is transcribing the many informative podcasts she has produced with industry experts in both internet marketing and book publishing and will be compiling those into books that will give people good, real, and actionable information from a variety of voices, not just her own opinions.

Deborah's son Daniel was a prolific writer and passed away at the age of 21, Deborah is in the process of releasing his writing first as eBooks, then in print. The first is a book of essays, next will be a novel, followed by novels from his screenplays that he wrote. He was a student at the prestigious NYU Film Writing program and several of his plays and film scripts won awards.

I hope you will join us on our adventure through self publishing.
