Book Description

Contemporary Romance Honeymoon For One

To escape local gossip, jilted bride Michelle Bradford embarks on her honeymoon cruise —alone. Coaxed by a thrill seeking hunk she never expects to see again, she slowly sheds her good girl persona to have some well deserved fun.

But unlike Vegas, what happens on the high seas doesn't always stay there.

More about the contemporary romance Honeymoon For One:

Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

The popular themes of second chances, small town, family, and cruise ship fun, blended with the story of a jilted bride and friends to lovers workplace romance have kept Honeymoon For One on the Kindle ebook best seller lists and made this contemporary romance a reader's choice.

Chris invites you to sit back on a lazy afternoon, kick your shoes off, put your feet up, and join her for a few hours with laughter, love and even a few tears, in the world she's created for Michelle and Kirk. (P.S. The scene in last chapter at the office is her favorite, too.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Who has time to clean? July 1, 2013

Cooking and cleaning had to wait - Honeymoon for One is a "can't put it down" story. Ship board fling with a "stranger" never to be seen again - really? Not in this book. They had fun on board ship but the real fun begins when he shows up in her town. Throw in a teenager, an ex-fiancee and a pushy co-worker and you have a great summer read filled with twists and turns. So put that cleaning cloth down, you can clean your house anytime! Grab a good book - "Honeymoon for One", put your feet up and enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars A fun and lighthearted book July 4, 2013
By Deemus

If you're looking for a light, quick summer read, here's a book for you. The wedding fell apart before it happened, but the jilted bride decided to take the honeymoon cruise anyway, and enjoy herself. After all, she's never going to see any of these people again, right? Well...as you might guess, Mr. Distraction appears in town, and then things start to happen. I will definitely look for more books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! August 19, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Michelle's fiance jilts her three days before their wedding so he can marry her best friend. Michelle cancels all the wedding plans but decides to go on the honeymoon cruise alone and free her inhibitions. Kirk sees women as great company but marriage as a trap to be avoided. When his best friend backs out on the cruise they were to go on he decides to go solo. On the cruise, Michelle and Kirk quickly meet and enjoy a vacation fling. They share nothing of their pasts or how to contact each other after the cruise but fate isn't done with them. The story has very likeable characters with great interactions. Made me smile many times. I look forward to reading it again in the future and will be looking for more stories written by Chris Keniston.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! July 29, 2013
By Paula
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is one of the best free Kindle books that I have come across in a while. I really enjoyed it. I think it was the perfect length, and the story line was really good!

Michelle had been engaged to marry Steven. Steven, and Michelle spent a lot of time with Beth, Michelle's best friend. 3 days before the wedding, Beth and Steven came over to talk to Michelle...She found out she was being dumped, and that Steven was about to marry her best friend.

What's a girl to do? The honey moon was paid for, so she took a honey for one! She meet Kirk, and had a wonderful, steamy two weeks in paradise.

When she got back from vacation, she found out she may lose her job, because of cut backs. She also found out she would have a new boss. She almost passed out when she found out who she would be working for.

If you want to curl up with a good romance, start reading this one, I think you will enjoy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars sweet July 23, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
First time reading from this author. This was one of those books that you can relate to in so many levels. I'm not against love scenes , especially sweet one , thst leaves more to the I imagination and this had them. I love it also when the hero thinks no way am I going down the family trap, but hey all it took was one sweet lovable lady and her teenage sister to do it. Very sweet novella , but there is some cussing . Probably will not read anymore from his author , i read a sample of another book, more cussing that I like and lots of the f word... So be aware. I really hate that , because I do believe Chris is a great writer.

For fans of a quick happy-ever-after fix, look no further, this is a winner. Likeable characters, believable people, with Lol moments, sweetness, and steam, add up to a perfect romance pick-me-up. It's short as far as pages, but feels just right. I'll definitely read more from this author. Enjoy!

More About the Author

Chris Keniston's love of a good story and frustration with the end of a well known author's romance best seller, drove her to pen her own works of romance and fiction.

Her romantic women's fiction novels include a variety of themes from international settings dealing with wealthy millionaires, family feuds and tropical beaches, to the relationships between family and friends in small town Texas, and to sisterhood and friendship in the award winning novel The Champagne Sisterhood

Currently working on the contemporary romance Aloha Series, Chris Keniston is enjoying playing with her former military heroes. Using popular themes of small towns and sandy beaches blended with stories of the single dad, survivors guilt, and soon an accidental wedding is making the Aloha Series a reader's choice.

A native New Yorker, Chris Keniston was on her way to Australia when she fell in love with North Texas. Little did she know the balmy seventy degree October days would turn into fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk heat in August!

Author of five contemporary novels, including a finalist for the prestigious Golden Heart Award, Chris lives in suburban Dallas with her husband, two human children, and two canine children. Though she loves her puppies equally, she admits being especially attached to her German Shepherd rescue named Gunny. After all, even dogs deserve a happily ever after.
