Where often I won't be able to stop myself from skipping ahead, I savored every word, every moment. When I cried, (and it isn't often a book can illicit a good cry), it came from an ache deep within. On the flip side I laughed often and hard. There were moments I cringed with embarrassment for what I was seeing, and some moments so private that I felt like an intruder, a voyeur.
In short, this story will take you through the gamut of emotion. If you don't see yourself somewhere in the pages, you will recognize people you know or familiar situations because these characters are fully realized, three dimensional and so loveable.
I dare you to read this book and NOT care.
Beautifully written, intelligent and human. It is without a doubt the best book I've read in years.
