Editorial Reviews

From Library Journal
The "lost episodes" referred to in the title are the 120 Honeymooners TV shows that have only just been re leased for syndication. The details of how and why they have become available are a bit tedious but the sto ry of the show itself is not. From the early Dumont network's Calvalcade of Stars and the Honeymooner seg ments until the TV comedy emerged in its own 30-minute time slot, this book follows the careers of Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Mea dows, and the other members of the cast. Although the authors are not terribly concerned about organizing their material, it is fascinating to read about Gleason's spontaneous comed ic flair and how much of his work was ad lib. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great guide to watching the Lost Honeymooners Episodes, May 9, 1997
By A Customer
Great book for Honeymooners fans of all ages. Ever wonder which of the 'Lost Episodes' you haven't seen? Well this book pretty much covers most of them with summaries, dates, length, and bloopers. There are a few episodes that were salvaged after the printing of this book though. Includes a great many pictures on and off screen. Great follow-up to Donna McCrohan's 'The Honeymooners Companion

5.0 out of 5 stars A Little Dated but an Excellent Book for Lost Episode Fans, August 18, 2007
By Ed "Prophecy Reader" (Tucson, AZ USA) - See all my reviews
This book is excellent for those who love the Lost Epidsodes of the Honeymooners. It's a little dated since the writing of the book as some episodes have been released since the printing of the book. Still, it's worth buying.
