Outstanding - 90's Power Pop at it's finest!,
By Dave Dickerson (Tennessee) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Honeyrods (Audio CD)
The Honeyrods are great band that came out of Nashville in the mid 90's. With their catchy first single "Soap Opera" I expected them to rule the airwaves. Luckily in Nashville this did happen, but the album failed to find a widespread audience because of Capricorn's lackluster promotion. To archive the band, and offer never before heard tracks, I am maintaining the official website, www.thehoneyrods.com Get this album (you won't regret it) and check the website - a great band that deserves not to be forgotten!

Nashville Rocks ... who knew?!,
By Kevin Warrington (Winchester, Tn USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Honeyrods (Audio CD)
It's not Pop, but it is catchy. It's what real Rock n Roll is all about. When the radio air waves are saturated with trash that passes for rock music, you need to put in a CD that embodies real rock music, that isn't trying to clone the sound of whatever band is featured on Mtv's TRL this week , and is actually good. This is that CD. The Honeyrods are so extremely popular in their home-city, Nashville, it's hard to understand why they aren't nationally dominant -- not that it matters, the music is what matters, and that's what they deliver. No screaming incoherent lyrics, no attemts to crossover to rap or heavy meatal, just some excellent songs.
