Outta sight psychedelic west coast jazz pop!,

This recording perfectly captures the groovy west coast pop/rock scene as seen through psychedelic jazz shades! Young Tom Scott covers everything from the Beatles to Coltrane on a variety of woodwinds. Features an all-star L.A. studio band- you even get Glen Campbell on guitar! First time on CD in the U.S. The CD packaging is beautiful- a mini gate fold album design that mimics the original LP.

Tom Scott was a sax player who worked with Don Ellis in the 1960s, and much later, wrote the theme for the show, Family Ties.
This is light jazz with 1960s style backup singers. Scott does psudo-hip covers of the Beatles "She's Leaving Home," and "Today" by the Jefferson Airplane, jingle vocals and all. Fun as a time piece AMAZON. MP3? HELLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOO. Anyone home over there? |
