This is a great product. Lots of room to store our valuables and no need to pay the annual fee to the bank any longer to rent a safe deposit box. I had some concern when reading about the problems that some had with Amazon's shipping. Our experience was wonderful. It came within one week (under the free shipping option) across country with no damage to the item or box at all. Amazon's shipping and UPS' handling of the item were exceptional, I have ordered many items from Amazon and will definitely continue. Kudos to Amazon!!!

I bought this model fire safe after reading several reviews of less-expensive brands available at local "superstores." This safe is well worth the extra money. The construction quality is excellent, the latch mechanism works very nicely, and it seals up tightly when the latch is closed. I strongly recommend buying the optional wheeled stand. This safe would be hard to move around without them, but is very convenient to move around on the wheels. You can put the stand together with only a screwdriver and a wrench (even pliers if you don't have a wrench,) and the stand is custom-sized to fit the safe. Hanging file folders fit right in with no problems, and make this safe easy to organize. I am very happy with this fire safe.

Every home should have one of these -- not only to keep your important documents and other valuables safe from fire and water, but to keep them organized in one place! We often use this as a wedding present, as it is something almost nobody else thinks of.

This is a very well-designed and built file safe. Because it is very heavy, the wheeled version is a great advantage.

I am very pleased with this safe, the safe and wheels arrived in two days, the safe feels strong and heavy, the wheel set fits well and makes it easy to keep near the desk.It took about 5 minutes to assemble. Really suggest you get wheels, this thing is heavy!!!!
For the price the lock set is better than my unlocked box!!! it will slow someone down and most likely be fire and water proof as advertizesd.
I have kept all my important documents in an unlocked box near my desk for 20 plus years, time for an upgrade.

Size wise it took about 3 minutes to fill, back up USP drives, back up DVDs, unreplaceable hardcopy manuscript of training book. All other important paper & assorted house cash,,,, we sure accumlate of non replaceable stuff!!!!

I have kept it unlocked to be sure its dry,, several people reported damaged paper due to moisture with a smaller box. This box came with dry cells to remove moisture.

This is a good, long over due up grade, give it a try, any thing is better than what you most likely own right now!!!! I am sleeping better at night. So can you for a very reasonable price. A five year warrenty makes me feel like the people that built it know what they are doing.

good safe but it looks easy to break the plastic hinge that secures the lid to the base(why not harden metal?), overall good protection from fire and water but not from someone who was determined to get inside.

It's fire and water proof for storing important document and originals. It's not as bulky as I thought it was going to be. I can organize and keep items separate with file hangers, which is a plus.

I did have a difficult time opening the top of the safe after un-boxing it. There was a pretty intense vacuum keeping it sealed.

Seems to be OK. Hopefully I'll never have to find out if it works.

Although I haven't had a flood or fire to prove out its protective value, this item is exactly what I was looking for. It holds standard size hanging folders to store my documents. The wheels are a great idea so I don't have to strain to move this thing, while pulling it out of its storage space, when I need to use it.

I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE PACKAGING AND SHIPPING OF THIS ITEM. I READ THE OTHER REVIEWS AND WAS A LITTLE SKEPTICAL, BUT GLAD I ORDERED IT FROM AMAZON. REALLY NICE ITEM. BIGGER THAN WHAT I THOUGHT.

This was just the thing to help me organize my important papers. The wheel carriage makes it spectacular I can just roll it from room to room.

Heavy duty, easy to move with caster wheel stand, hanging file ability a nice plus for organizing documents.
