What can I say...its a safe. It was very easy to program my own code, and seems sturdy and well made. Just for refernce, I would estimate that the inside is larger than a gallon-size milk container, so plenty of room for stuff. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase. It included the Batteries, keys in case you forget your code or the batteries die, and mounting hardware.

Bought it as a gun safe and it works great for that purpose. I fit six handguns in it! A much better value than similar sized "handgun" safes. Can be bolted to the floor or wall for additional safety. The fit and finish is nice and it works just like it ought to. Very happy with my purchase.

We're required to lock up our checks, so we needed a safe. This was one of the most inexpensive with most features and best reviews. So far, so good. It works great and is small enough that I can find different places to bolt it down.

this safe arrived broken. it's not made of quality materials. when they say "anti-theft", they really mean "deterrent for a very quick smash and grab." otherwise, it consolidates your valuables in one easy package for a thief. certainly bolting it to the floor would improve it's security, but all in all, it wouldn't take much to get this open.

Not the greatest, but it'll keep your stuff safe.

Would've been nice if it was fire proof, for this money however... Great deal!

It's everything I had hoped, and more. I can't grasp the negative reviews - what does one want for the price? It's fine, and works very reliably...

It really isn't a 'safe' it's just an anti-theft lock box to slow down or stop snatch and grab burglars and theiving family. I have a full sized fireproof floor safe, and just wanted a small safe to quickly and easily stash cash and small items in without having to dig into the bigger safe. So far no problems with it. Simple to change the combination to whatever you want, and the digital keypad makes it fast and simple to get in and out of. Probably could get into it with some work and simple hand tools, but, it's not going to be fast or easy. I put it in the back of a seldom used kitchen cabinet so it's out of sight, and not in the mainstream locations usually associated with hiding a safe. Going to get another one for our guest bedroom, so weekenders can program their own combination into it and have their stuff safe and secure without having me holding their traveling cash and checks or valuables for them. The safe I got was different than pictured, and seems to be a better version than what I saw in the stores (for $79). All in all I like it...a whole lot.

Pro:
Has a keypad AND uses a key.
Felt lined floor.

Con:
THIN steel.
Can see weld marks - not so good.
Awful keypad and lock mechanism.
Cannot turn off keypad noise.
WEAK screws used to hold everything (lock, keypad, etc...)in place.

I just purchased this item and brought it home. At first glance it looks horrible. You can see where the thin steel was welded to join the corners and then spray painted to cover the grind marks. This could potentially be a weak point if the welding was not done properly. Someone could take a bat or sledgehammer and break the box open like a watermelon.

They could have done much better for what they are asking price wise.

For something like this, I would have thought that the gaps around the door would be very small, not so! The gaps are wide enough for me to insert a small crowbar tip all around the door, except for the "recessed hinge". A lazy criminal could break into your house, pry open the "safe" and walk away with the contents long before any law enforcement arrived. This safe only deters snoopers and children, but not for long.

I take issue with the low grade screws holding everything in place. If you took a lever (such as a crowbar) and applied a little force, it would have the door open in very little time. The screws holding everything together would fail long before the actual steel did.

I suggest buying one for your children and people who dislike snoopers, but for actual security, this is not for you.

TO FIREARM OWNERS: Some keep their firearms in this box. Stealth is not on your side when using this product as you cannot disable the beep when using the keypad. A HUGE error on honeywell's part. I would not buy this if that is your primary purpose. Of course you could use the backup key, but that's impractical and defeats the purpose of the box. If you want something quiet, I'd suggest a key operated lockbox that uses thicker gauge steel.

The item pictured is not the one you will be receiving, as the model has changed.

I paid less than amazon locally and I will be returning it tomorrow.

nice size and easy to install....only thing it's not fire proof but will do the job for important things to keep home safe.

Great product. Even better, though, was that my first one came defective and both Amazon and Honeywell were great. Amazon had a new safe to me within 2 days! Honeywell knew of the original defect and the new safe is great!
