To install you only need to open the back of the siren .... attach the battery lead to the PC board .... set the dip switches to your l7000 or 5200 house code .... replace the back cover, and plug it into AC ..... it will now react to any alarm event on you system .....
Technically, you don't have to plug it into an AC outlet ..... you can plug it into an extension cord and place it any where you want ... I.e. conceal it behind a potted plant or what have you .....
It's expensive, but you should have at least a couple for that 'surprise' factor to the intruder when the alarm is sounded ..... it's also an additional sounder when the smoke or carbon alarms sound .....
Now it does come with a Tamper switch, but it will require your 5100 installers code to properly install.
My Atlanta Security company wants $300.00 for the install, (for their installers code!), but I will install my tamper switch at a later time myself, but it works great without the tamper, and the Honeywell WAVE wireless siren is plugged and screwed in my 110 receptacle and would be difficult to pull out of my wall, and if the intruder has made it that far in my home, he or she has done notified my security company that's calling 911.
It's a shame the Lynx series panels do not have an easier way to add inexpensive sirens.
Currently you have to add expensive and slightly complex circuitry to do so which is a real shame.
The backup battery didn't even last a year as I noticed the other day it had a battery failure.
The battery date was less then a year old and it was the original factory battery.
For the price, the backup battery should be of better quality.
One other mention is that you need a standard duplex outlet.
It uses the center hole in the duplex outlet to properly support the heavy weight of this and to ensure proper magnet clearance for the tamper option.
I have Decor outlets, so I tried it out in several areas. Once you decide where it is best located, you can then swap in from a Decor to standard duplex outlet.
Loud enough to get neighbor attention and to scare away the thugs stealing your valuables.

works and is pretty loud. does just plug into regular socket then syncs with system.Published 3 months ago by Highspeedplay
Easy to setup and configure. Reasonably loud. It is a bit on the big side so I hid it behind a chair.Published 4 months ago by Mike74
