Well, there is not much to a humidistat, it works well. I have the digital display that tells me the humidity in my house and it seems to match the settings on this humidistat. So far I am happy. I would recommend this product plus it looks good.

Works great, but it had very tight place for wires if you do a surface mount.

The settings on the one I received are off by approximately 20 percentage points. For example, with a setpoint of 25% it will control humidity around 46%. The unit has about a 5% hysteresis. Although I would consider this unit defective with a setpoint inaccuracy this large, I realize it is an inexpensive mechanical humidistat so I wasn't expecting much. It will suffice for my needs - I just have to keep in mind the scale isn't accurate.

I returned the first unit I received as defective. Amazon promptly shipped me a replacement, but unfortunately it arrived with the same defect. Units are not calibrated to any level of usable accuracy. A set point of 10% on the humidistat is actually 45% as verified with a quality sling psychrometer. At 20 degree outside temperature you should set your humidifier to 35% and even lower as the temperature drops. This is not possible with this amount of mis-calibration.

Reasonably accurate dial markings, easy installation.

No complaints but if you don't use the duct mount option you must locate it carefully with respect to air flow. Otherwise you might see wild swings of humidity.

I purchased the humidistat but ended up returning it, because the humidistat comes with the humidifier.

This only serves to turn on an appliance when the relative humidity in a room goes below a certain point. This means that if you're trying to use it in your bathroom, you'll never get it to work properly for 'removing humidity' and unfortunately the description for this item states "controls" humidity instead of 'turns on appliances that help increase humidity"
