This little "Super Turbo" fan moves a lot of air, even on low speed. Physics wins out: with three diminutive blades, six inches across, it does so quite noisily. It's not insanely loud so kudos to the designers and the $15 price point. I bought a second one shortly after the first arrived on my doorstep.
Perfect for common areas in the home, for me it would be intrusive while sleeping. For those needing a "white noise" generator, this one will put out all you need and then some. Spend some time near this fan, turn it off and the silence is deafening! I have one mounted six feet up on the narrow wall of my 22 by 10 foot kitchen. On high speed it creates a nice breeze across the whole room. Another is similarly mounted in a bathroom and does a quick job of de-steaming after a hot shower and keeping cool while finishing up. Even though I have a large floor fan in the garage, I'm thinking of getting a third HT804 to place next to the workbench. I am puzzled about something, though. The product description here tells this can be used "...as a whole room air circulator or for Direct Focused cooling." Similarly, the box says, "Use as an air circulator or for focused cooling," along with a picture showing three arrows pointing in different directions. These words imply dual modes of operation but neither the instructions or the fan itself indicate how this could be. Make no mistake: this fans blows in one and only one direction - straight out the front! One can surmise a communication disconnect between the engineers and the technical writers and package designers. You can't go wrong at this price if you want to move lots of air with a small footprint. But, if you're wanting quiet operation, you'll need something larger and more money.

The fan is pretty quiet and has a lot of power. I like the white finish as it's very inconspicuous in my white room. The price was great and the delivery quick.

Good but limited movement,

It's a good strudy fan made of hard plastic. The circulation is good. The only thing I don't like is that it has limitations on being able to move the head in the down position.

So far, I'm satisfied!!,

This came directly from Amazon--- described as "brand new". The price was about $14 + $7.99 standard shipping. I ordered the fan a little after 12noon(central time) on a wednesday and it was shipped the same day(UPS). I received it the following monday--before the expected ship date. The fan appeared as described and so far there are no problems.
Although the fan is not rotatable on it's own and can only be positioned manually in the "up & down" direction, it cools EXTREMELY well. It's even good when set on "low"!!! The noise level is pretty tolerable and the doesn't take-up alot of space on a desk or small table... Hope this helps!!

It's inexpensive, don't expect much,

This fan sounded neat because some previous reviews talked about how powerful it is. Reality is this a small fan, with a very small motor. It does OK for it's size, but does not move what I would consider all that much air even on high. Is it noisy, yeah a little, not unexpected given it's price range. The owners manual gives diagrams for air circulation for whole rooms, up and down stairs, etc. That idea is extraordinarily optimistic considering the lack of power for this fan. This fan should really be considered a cubicle fan, better then the clip on fans costing one half as much, but certainly far short of the oscillating table fans you can get for just a few dollars more. Unless you like overrated mediocrity, there are better choices. Which brings me back to the fan description itself, "Super Turbo High Performance" is either hilarious or a sick joke. You can decide.

This fan is just okay. It is small and needs to be put up on a desk or table. On the floor it won't reach a bed or couch since the tilt will only go up so far. Also, it is very loud (louder than other fans I've owned). My biggest complaint is that it cannot be opened to be cleaned. The blades get very dusty and the front does not pop off to give access for cleaning..kind of disappointing.

OK, but NOT QUITE what I was hoping for...,

Pros:
I like the light color. It's light weight makes it easy to move around. Can tilt upwards up to 90 degrees. Airflow is good for it's size. Nice size base for stability. Cons: Much louder than I expected, even on low, with the fan near (which you need if you want to feel cooler). I am somewhat sensitive to noise and sound, YMMV. Doesn't tilt down, so you have to prop up the back a little for that effect. Airflow is still not as strong as I would like, I guess I'll have to get a larger fan. Improvement Suggestions: It would be helpful if the grill came apart for cleaning. It would be nice if the cord was 1'-2' longer, and could neatly wrap around the base for storage. Note: Though I buy many things through Amazon, I needed a fan right away, and I was able to find it at Target, and for a little bit better price. Bottom Line: If you are looking for an inexpensive, small, lightweight fan, and don't need one that is "whisper quiet", then you will probably be happy with this one.

I got this fan to use in my bathroom which gets quite steamy. It does the job well, but what I don't like is the switch location. It's in back of the top of the circular part of the fan so it's awkward to get at. Whoever designed the location of the switch must have been totally not thinking. But, it does work, and it cools the room and helps with the steaming up. I just can't understand why the switch is in such an illogical spot. I do not recommend this fan because of that.

I bought one, loved it, bought several more (they come in black and white). Looks great, moves the air - makes a big difference! - and not very noisy except on highest setting. Still is quiet compared to most fans.

Not as good as Vornado,

This fan shares a similar vortex design as Vornado. However I compared them side by side and it was immediately apparent the Honeywell unit does not measure up.
The Vornado really shoots out a column of air, this Honeywell unit doesn't seem to push air anywhere. |
