I have purchased many space heaters in the past since our house is so old, and this has been the worst. The air smells horrible, and the thermostat is never correct. I will set it for 70 degrees, and it will keep heating at random times up to 80 degrees. This is not ideal considering it was in an infant's bedroom. Personally, I say stick to the Lasko brand. We've had two of their heaters forever, and I made the mistake of buying a bit cheaper. Now I will end up spending even more to replace this horrible product. Don't waste your money!

4.0 out of 5 stars Real money saver, February 5, 2008
If you ever lived in St. Louis and used gas for heating you'll know how expensive it is. The first month I moved to a Laclede Gas (only gas supplier in the area, hence they set the rate as they wish) operated house my bill was $200 for 20 days. Before I used to live in a electric heating house, and my summer bill was more than my winter bill. So this came as a shock but later I learned from friends it is very normal to get this kind of bill. I found this heater on the internet selling for less than $30 and bought it. Within a month my gas bill decreased by 40% and my electric bill only increased by a few dollars. Here is the pros and cons of this heater.

Pros: NIce small size, can be easily moved around. The remote works great and circulation also works. The ceramic makes it insulated from the body so there's less burning hazard. Works better in lower setting.

Cons: As others have already mentioned. the thermometer only measures the temperature of the immediate surroundings. So if you have a bigger room it might not be good if you're staying far from it. I get by this problem by setting it in lower energy mode and setting the temperature a couple of degrees higher than the desired one and it works great.

The bottom-line is it is a great heater for its price and works great for smaller rooms.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ceramic Heater, December 19, 2007
This review is from: Ceramic Heater with Remote (Kitchen)
Pros: Throws off great heat. Use it in the bathroom and it heats up the room quickly.

Cons: You set heater to a desired setting. After you power it off and back on it defaults back to original settings. No memory on your previous settings.
