long range, small size, easy to use,

I was looking for the longest range presenter and this was the longest advertised range I found. And you know what? It's true. I bought it for my church, for changing slides in power point. It works from any place in the sanctuary, even from the loby, dosen't matter what direction you're pointing it. Very easy to use - just 3 buttons with obvious functions, nobody needs to be told how to use it. It matters when you are nervous in front of all the people! :)

great customer service,

I bought this controller for laptop based presentations specifically for the long range radio frequency control in lieu of typical IR controllers. It works just as advertised and you don't have to worry about getting over and around people blocking the receiver. The first one I ordered was defective, and I had a big presentation the very next day. I contacted Honeywell directly with a phone number posted on the device's website ((...)) and they overnighted me a new one. Very few companies will send a replacement before receiving the defective unit first.

I bought this unit for work, so that I could control my PowerPoint presentations from anywhere in the room. It works great for that, and has another unanticipated benefit. When others have a section of the presentation, I can just give them the remote and they don't have to worry about a lot of buttons. It couldn't be any simpler, and the range is great. Highly recommended!

This product just works. I have used it with both a Windows box and my MacBook. It is a true plug-and-play solution that does just what it claims to do. The simple "forward" and "backward" buttons work great with both PowerPoint and, my application of choice for presentations, Keynote. The range is astounding. I use it 80 feet from the base, and even when my considerably large body is between the base and the remote, it works flawlessly. I recommend it highly.

PowerPresenter is Outstanding!,

I am very satisfied with the PowerPresenter. It is advertised as being able to work 150 feet from the computer and it does what it claims. The laser pointer was a surprise and I really like the product.

Works with MediaShout,
By
This review is from: PPRF Wireless PowerPoint Remote (Electronics)
A few months ago I made the switch from PowerPoint to MediaShout. Since MediaShout is non-linear and does not use the standard commands of PowerPoint, I needed a remote that I could program to take advantage of MediaShout's flexibility. I also had the challenge of being 75 feet away from the computer. The PowerPresenter is the only device I have found that is both programmable and able to send a signal that distance. As if that was not reason enough to buy this unit, it has three simple buttons with the main button larger than the others. Since I use it when I am preaching, I don't want to be fumbling around with buttons while I am concentrating on my sermon. It is also small enough to be comfortable in my hand.
The only downside is that you need to reprogram the remote for MediaShout if you power off your computer, which I don't do. The default programming for the remote is for PowerPoint, so this is not an issue for those who PowerPoint. If you use a laptop and speak in different locations, I would use a cheaper USB presenter that has a small base and does not require the large receiver of this unit unless you need the long-distance reception of the PowerPresenter.

The Honeywell PowerPresenter RF is a remote control for triggering control keystrokes (slide advance, reverse, etc.) on a computer from a distance. Unlike many wireless PC remote controls, the PowerPresenter enables the user to program keystrokes other than what was programmed at the factory.
My use was with MediaShout presentation software, frequently used for contemporary church services that employ video projection of song lyrics, Bible verses, video clip playbacks, etc. MediaShout users will need to consult with the MediaShout web site to learn the precise keystrokes that need to be programmed. The unit performed as advertised, and is reasonable value for the dollar.

I ordered this unit to replace a R800 Logitech that did not work with my software..."Media Shout." This unit by Honeywell is easy to program and works well with both "Media Shout" & "Power Point."
