This Honeywell 7-day programmable timer switch has the flexibility of being able to use 7 different programs per week. This unit works with incandescent and halogen lighting (40 W minimum). Don't bother with this switch. I bought 3 and 2 have failed. And now I'm and passed the
Amazon return date. Hard to see also. Great idea, bad switch.

I have nothing but positives to say about this programmable light switch. I purchased this switch to control two coach lights around my garage door. I wanted the security of knowing that the lights would turn on/off automatically while I'm away from home, and that this switch does flawlessly. Installation was a breeze. I cut power to the circuit breaker, connected the wires (no neutral wire required) as illustrated, and done. Installation and programming the weekly schedule took all of 15 minutes. I highly recommend this programmable light switch timer.

Ordered this item and installed it in 10-15 minutes taking my time. The package indicated it wouldn't work with CFL, but it does. The install and programming is very easy and straight forward. Instructions are limited to a small degree, but if you have ever replaced an outlet or switch, then you won't have any problems installing this device. The only feature not clear was grounding. There is no grounding wire coming from the switch. I grounded the unit, then secured it to the unit's mounting surface screw. This was the only place to try to ground. The is a great item to have for vacation times or if you get home later in the evening This will turn the lights outside on and off as often as you like for up to 7 programs. I have it set for the 6:00pm to 12:00am, then turn back on at 5:30am and then off at 7:00am everyday and that is only 2 out of the 7 programs being used. The unit can be turned on manually in the program mode also. Great switch so far. Must have for any home.
