Get More Booty!,

The whole album is solid and fun but "More Booty with Buddha" is one of my favorite songs of all time! Hints of Tom Waits, Captain Beefheart, Dr. John here. Great guitar growl, and swampy vocals.

Swamp Cabbage is as original deep south blues band as any I've ever heard. Funky catchy riffs with superb lyrics and vocals. They are tight in rhythm together and make you want to get up and groove. If you like your blues with a funky bass line you will really like this group and this cd.

I can't describe these guys in any other way than "big sound." All of these quys are quite clearly talented but the mixture of Blues and Rock that they produce is something that I don't think many artists can pull off as well as these guys do. Walter Parks' voice is captivating in a mellow, gravelly yet beyond entertaining and animated way. I would definitely recommend this CD...especially at a party with mixed company.

...ZZ Top, back in the good old days. Lots of pickin' & moanin', intricate yet simple arrangements and excellent lyrics (The Dipstick Rag, what a great song title). Recommended.
