Hank, like all true country singers, wrestled with the tension between his Saturday night/Sunday morning self. Forget today's Sony/Phony country singers. Hank was the REAL thing.Pour yourself a beer and enjoy Hank's most upbeat party songs, beautifully mastered. There's not a weak song on the c.d. Especially enjoyable are two posthumous singles of Hank's, "You Better Keep It on Your Mind" and "I Ain't Got Nothin' but Time." They're not on the COMPLETE HANK WILLIAMS 10-c.d. set. At MGM's behest, Hank's Drifting Cowboys, including Don Helms, instrumentalized two of Williams' demos and kept Hank on the charts months after his death.
