The Major is back in book two of the Citizen Warrior Series, "HONOR
DEFENDED." As we learned from HONOR DUE, the Major is a kindhearted,
caring, family man. He is also the Vietnam vet who will not allow
anything to cross his path when it comes to hurting innocent citizens,
especially his friends, and family. While still mourning the death of
one of his War Brothers, he receives notification of a horrifying murder
and kidnapping involving a friend. Carmen was kidnapped, and her husband
who was an American soldier and home from Iraq was beheaded, then their
home was set on fire. The Major calls in his troops, and begins the
investigation. Does Carmen return to safety, and where is her vehicle?
How is it possible that twelve terrorists wind up in someone's backyard,
why was it that easy? How many battles and interrogations will the Major
face? Do the Major's Warriors seek revenge, and is justice served? Embrace yourself, put on your seatbelt, and enjoy the greatest thrill
ride you've ever endured! The setting in the great NorthWest is perfect
for the action-packed adventure to take place, the story is engrossing,
and the characters come to life once again. I recommend this novel to
all mystery lovers who enjoy thrillers, with humor, and compassion. The
plot consists of hard-hitting action, and is emotional, and heartwarming.
When the Major realizes that the crime committed was no random act of
violence, the fireworks begin, tension is at its highest peak, and the
adrenaline is flowing. The bond between the Warriors is stronger than
ever as excitement explodes, while the hunt begins. D.H. Brown penned
an incredible breathtaking adventure as his Masterpiece becomes a tribute
to Vietnam vets. "HONOR DEFENDED" is as compelling as Steven Spielberg's
"SAVING PRIVATE RYAN" with Tom Hanks!

Better than the first, June 8, 2009
This review is from: Honor Defended (Paperback)
Again, once I started to read this novel, I had to keep reading because I thought that I would miss an important detail that lead into the next chapter, missing out on some of the action. This is an outstanding mystery novel that has to be read though & through. Then read again to find the parts you missed the first time.
Thank you Mr Brown for your great talent of suspenseful & creative writing. When is the next book due?
