About the Author

Wahida Clark was born and raised in Trenton, New Jersey. She is no stranger to the hard work and sacrifice that breeds success; owning and operating L.M. Clark Printers and Wahida Clark Presents Publishing. She decided to write fiction while incarcerated at a women’s federal prison camp in Lexington, Kentucky. She has since been crowned the Queen of Thug Fiction by Nikki Turner, the Queen of Hip Hop fiction. Wahida’s fans are loyal and vociferous in their appreciation for her exciting stories. Reading her Amazon comment’s page is quite a lesson in passon! They appreciate the depth and detail that she brings to the world created through her stories - when you read her novels they are so real that you are convinced of one of three things; that you know the characters, that you want to know the characters or that you are one of the characters. Her Essence best-selling novels include: Thugs and the Women Who Love Them, Every Thug Needs A Lady, Payback is a Mutha, Payback With Ya Life, and Thug Matrimony. All published by Kensington / Dafina Books.

It was an okay read but I am about to stop supporting urban literature. How you start out is how you should finish a job. In the beginning Ms. Clark you took the time to truly develop a story line that was not typical. This book demonstrates you do not appreciate our loyalty by throwing this book together and not completing the story line. What happened to Rick and Kyra? Did Trae really get out of jail? Did Charlie Li die? This series was very long and many of us remained faithful. We deserved better than a book just thrown together.

I don't know if I can go on with the series after this book. I'm so so sick of Tasha and Tre. All they do is argue and do stupid stuff to each other if that's what love is I don't want it. seriously I wish she would take some of the focus off of them and put it on the other characters. I was just really disappointed in this one. I wish I could give it zero stars

I am a huge huge fan of Wahida Clark I have read her Thug series books several times hell I know the books by heart I read them so much. But this one I wont be reading again. It usually takes me a couple of hours to finish her books but I had to force myself to finish this one because I am such a fan. Reading how Trae and Tasha talk to each other it just seems so forced and fake I usually find myself getting lost in the characters story but not this time.If there is another book coming Wahida needs to go back her old writing style back to the days when she was independent and hungry... don't let Cash Money make you lose your true fanbase..

I was very disappointed with this book. The book in my opinion was everywhere. From the situation with Kyron..to what happened with Charli Li...not to mention Kyra and Rick and Jaz and Faheem. And the situation with Trae and Tasha just gets on my last nerve .I patiently waited two years for this book and it seemed to be very rushed. I am a constant voice on the fan page and I feel the fans gave her so much to go on..we practically wrote the last novel for her..i dont know why she just didnt take advantage of what was said. All in all, im a huge Wahida fan..but she dropped the ball with this one and its time to rap up the Thug series. Its becoming an overkill like an Ashley & Jaquavis novel...Im going to call it the cash money curse..as soon as these authors sign to CMC they no longer care about the quality of work they distribute. My advice to Ms. Wahida is Remeber those that were supporting you when you were fresh out that cell. Dont loose that same hunger that you had back then when u were paper chasin'.

This book was just ok. It has it's ups and downs. The series seems like it's being dragged out for some reason. Tasha and Trae literally have to much drama. And what's up with all these unanswerd questions. And for the life of me why don't we ever really hear from Angel. Why she always gotta be in the cut now. However I loved my baby Kaylin role in the book.

Not happy at all. Especially after the long ass wait! I feel like this was the worst out of the whole thug series! Like something was missing! Idk...I just wasn't impressed. I just couldn't get into it. Like she just wrote this to pacify us. Wahida usually tells the story so well that I think I'm there lol. NOT THIS TIME!!! She left unanswered questions or maybe she just gave vague answers. This leads me to believe there may be another book! Of course this is my opinion. See for yourself, u cant please everybody lol. But I am getting a refund b/c this was definitely not worth the $11.04 I so excitedly spent to be drastically disappointed!

I enjoyed the book . I've been following Wahida since 2002 when her first book came out. But it was to much going on. Wahida needs go get back to the basics. And I wanted to hear more about Kaylin & Angel.
