Duff Hart-Davies, brother of Adam Hart-Davies, has written or edited more than thirty books, including the acclaimed Fauna Britannica (Weidenfeld). From 1986 to 2001 he contributed a weekly column on country matters to the Independent. The author has made many visits to Billy Arjan Singh's home at Tiger Haven and has also trekked in Nepal and Africa.
