How do the IR LEDs decide when to turn on? Automatic mode based on darkness? Is time schedule mode available? Is there manual override mode? Jan 20, 2014
IR LEDs turn on automatically when the ambient light level becomes low, and can be turned on manually via the browser (or app, depending not he app) interface.

For all of those who have used this product for a few months, would you recommend it and have you had any issues? Nov 8, 2013
Have had no issues. Wish the Web interface to control it worked better in android browsers, but it gets by. Would I recommend it, hard to say without knowing your needs. I you need functioning, easy, inexpensive video access to an area of your house. Yes I would. Happy you with my choice
Can any one recommend a DVR / NVR that they know to be compatible with the HooToo HT-IP210F ?? - Thanks!! Oct 23, 2014
Unless you can run a DVR through a computer, they don't use DVR. they use IP addressed and VPN. You can watch from your phone or computer. I can monitor from my office everyday.

When you pan/tilt does the motor make audible noise? Enough to alert those in the room to its presence? Sep 26, 2013
No, the motors are nearly silent. You can actually control the speed at which pan/tilt operations occur, and the even the faster speeds have only the faintest whir, the slower speeds are undetectable.
I see it comes with screws, and assume the "adapter" is the ac power adapter, but don't see mention of a bracket for mounting to wall/ceiling? Dec 12, 2013
yes, it comes with a plastic bracket that screws into the base of the camera (with a normal screw that you'd find on a tripod to connect a camera) and then that screws into the wall. It's adjustable to support horizontal or vertical installation (so on the ceiling or on the wall or really anywhere in-between from 0-90 degrees). it's not the most-elegant looking thing, as it's smaller than the base of the device, but it is completely functional.
Sure. One way, each camera would view it's own room and have it's own address and operate independently. I think the hootoo application allows multiple cameras as well.
