This is a really interesting concept and premise, and yet some of this documentary's potential is squandered due to unimaginitive questions. The narrator asks the same questions to the citizens of each neighborhood. I thought it would be a lot more interesting to hear region specific questions. Also, the music selection is lacking; they could've done region-specific music as well. The participants are generally captivating, and when someone isn't, the scene is relatively short. Still, a very informative look into areas of our 'great' American cities which 70% of our population would never think of setting foot in. I also liked hearing the different dialects of each region. For example, in Chicago, instead of saying "Whassup, mayne", they say "Whattup, Charlie". All in all, good documentary; it just could have been so much better.

just a van going from town to town. with kids talking about how 'bad' their neighbourhood is!! nothing happens. just dumb people talking some sort of english that is barely understandable....

these hoo2hood documentries are very well done and after seeing those snipers in chicago in part one or two i thank god everyday I was born in canada i mean we have are rough neighbourhoods but WOW snipers in the buildings DAMN!!!

Blood, crip, latin king, 3-6 mafia, whater'. This is a doc that makes you think. And from a world that most filmmakers are not ok to be in without being robbed, killed or robbed and then killed. I love the unadulterated look this DVD shows of inner city hoods all over the US. The ups and downs, the every day violence, the "grimy sh**t" they see every day. "Naw what i'm sayn? Ya feel me?" .. Sorry I loved it. You try walking into Gary, Indiana with a camera and a couple questions.

This is a good documetary to own. This dvd reveals some of the things that goes on in the USA poor black neighborhoods and communities.

This has got to be the best in the HOOD documentaries every made. Everything you see on this DVD is REAL and RAW and IN YOUR FACE! You see everything from drugs..to guns...to REAL THUGS in some of the roughest hoods in America.

I can't even describe one scene that stood out because the ENTIRE DVD is RAW and GRITTY!

Pick this up and see this because it's educational, in a way...

Very disappointed. Just "dudes" talkin' talkin' talkin' about nothing really -- no action; no inside look at anything "illegal" going on or what gangsters really do. I'm selling mine.

This documentary by far is one of the best I've ever seen. It gives you true footage of the harsh reality of life in the hood. Very interesting and well documented. FROM CALI, TO NEW ORLEANS, ATL, NYC, GRINDIN, GUN PLAY, BANGIN AND HEAD BUSSIN IS IN EFFECT.
