"Hooded Angels" aka "Glory Glory" is a movie that should come with a warning label, something like: "caution- watching this movie is a waste of time-the ending does not deliver anything useful". When you begin watching a movie that physically looks professional (decent cinematography-good film stock) you tend to assume that its other elements (story, acting, production design) will also be professional. Inside this professionally shot package is a story about a group of aging beauty queens and models robbing banks in the American West, wearing a selection of clothes from the Neiman-Marcus Leather Shop, showcasing acting talent on the level of your local high school's senior play, and engaging in a whole lot of poorly staged violence. So it would seem reasonable to assume that there is more here than meets the eye since nothing could be unintentionally this bad.

Midway into the movie you conclude that this is some kind of ambitious "expressionistic" masterpiece (insert David Lynch here). So you watch the rest of it, waiting for director Paul Matthews to pull all these surreal qualities into a nice package of allegory and metaphor. But this does not happen because this is actually supposed to be serious (insert "realism" here), it is actually supposed to be taken literally. Even its record-breaking score on the lameness meter is unintentional.

"Hooded Angels" is what would happen if someone were unwise enough to cross "Taxi" (2004) with "The Quick and the Dead" (1995) and mix in a little Sergio Leone texture. Unfortunately nothing good results, only bad and ugly.

The earlier comments give a reasonably accurate detailing of the story. This may not be the worst movie of all time but it is a strong contender.

Then again, what do I know? I'm only a child.

Made the mistake of buying a collection of western movies for $5. This movie's share was less than $1, but it was grossly overpriced. I made it thru 10 minutes, but my intelligence was being washed away at such a rate that my withered brain could not have supported my breathing had I tried to last to 15 minutes. Everyone involved in making this movie should be ashamed of themselves. I'm ashamed I was stupid enough to pay $5 for a collection of movies that included it.

Professional reasons caused me to view this film as I otherwise wouldn't have even been aware of it. A tired, often used revenge plot, a South African company attempt to cash in on a popular genre utilizing the talents of a few recognizable names. Props to the actors; they tried hard but the pedestrian production and cliché ridden script sank this one at the dock.

Nice old fashion western.
Lots of familiar faces in the cast.
(Gary Busey, Jeff Fahey, Adrienne Barbeau, James Hong)
With a touch of avenging angel plot.
Bandits terrorizing the old west Arizona.
Good guys win, bad guys lose.
If you like westerns, you'll like this one.

I was speechless after I watched the movie. Bad...Bad and bad... it didn't not make any sense, unreal and just dumb. I wish I could give no star.

Women like Belle Starr, Calamity Jane, Etta Place (aka), Annie Oakley et.al certainly existed on the Frontier! History documents their wildness as well as Big Nose Kate, and Fannie Porter are known for their toughness and resislience. More movies about the feminine side of the Wild West would be welcome, and hope this represents a trend. I believe there were many, including some Vaudeville Chippies and actresses whose antics would equal many men!

First high budget Asylum production I have seen. Production values were high on this one, whereas the rest only rated one star, or less. Astonishing and cool western wardrobe for the entire cast.
