The Hoodcap is a must have accessory for the Nikon D-1, D1X and D-1H. When you receive your HOODCAP, just snap the HOODCAP on your D-1, the same way that you already do with Nikon's stock black cap. With your Hoodcap in place over your Nikon D-1's LCD screen, the new D-1 Hood slips over the ears of your Hoodcap and snugly stays in place. D1 hood is a soft rubber hood with bellows which collapse onto themselves when you need to look through your viewfinder.
