"Hoodwinked" by Quentin Carter was off the chains! The book had me hooked from the first page. It is the story of Keith his brother Kevin, Tukey, Keith's baby mama/girl/partna in crime and Selina, Keith's thang on the side. Keith and Kevin are 2 hustlers, Keith is all about flossin' and Kevin's about business. Keith cheats on Tukey all the time, mainly with Selina who is really setting him up to be taken down, by one of Keith's so called boys.But after Tukey lands in jail for taking that wrap for Keith's $300,000 she's got revenge on her mind, cause while she's locked down, Keith ain't thinkin about her, he's with Selina.Tukey also suspects Keith in the murder of her Uncle Ben, who was Keith's supplier. This story has it all murder, kinky sex, and most of all revenge. Tukey proves she's not the one to be played with!!!

THIS WAS THE FIRST BOOK I HAVE READ BY QUENTIN CARTER, AND I AM THRILLED THAT WHEN I BOUGHT HOODWINKED FROM AMAZON, I ALSO BOUGHT IN CAHOOTS. I COULDN'T PUT THIS BOOK DOWN, IT IS A PAGE TURNER!IT SHOULD BE RATED AT MORE THAN 5 STARS BUT THAT'S THE HIGHEST RATING FOR AMAZON!!!
THIS BOOK IS ABOUT KEITH AND KEVIN, WHO ARE BEST FRIENDS, BROTHERS, AND BUSINESS PARTNERS, MOVING KILO'S AND KILO'S OF COCAINE. KEITH'S GIRLFRIEND AND BABY'S MOTHER TUKEY,HAS THE CONNECT WHICH KEEPS KEITH AND KEVIN IN BUSINESS. HER UNCLE BEN, IS THE MAIN DRUG SUPPLIER. KEITH AND KEVIN USE TUKEY'S UNCLE TO GET THERE DRUGS, AND THEY USE TUKEY TO LAUNDER THE MONEY ON AIRPLANES FOR THEM. TUKEY IS A RIDE OR DIE CHICK, SHE LOVES KEITH WITH ALL HER HEART, BUT HE CONTINUOSLY TAKES ADVATNAGE OF HER, WITH HIS WHORISH WAYS. KEITH MEETS A PUERTO RICAN GIRL NAMED SELINA, HE CONTINUES TO DISSAPOINT TUKEY BY SLEEPING WITH SELINA. WHAT KEITH DOESNT KNOW IS THAT SELINA WAS PUT ON TO HIM BY ONE OF KEITH'S CLOSEST FRIENDS TO ROB HIM. WHEN THE FEDS KICK IN THE DOOR OF KEITH AND TUKEY'S HOME AND SEIZE EVERYTHING. KEITH AND KEVIN ARE LEFT WITH NO SIPPLIER AND NO MONEY TO START BACK UP WITH. MEANWHILE TUKEY TAKES THE FALL, FOR HER MAN, AND IS SENTENCED TO JAIL TIME. WHILE TUKEY IS IN JAIL SERVING HER TIME, KEITH COMES BACK UP IN THE GAME, BUT WITH SELINA BY HIS SIDE. SELINA FALLS IN LOVE WITH KETH AND EVEN MARRIES HIM, BUT HE STILL TREATS SELINA NO BETTER THAN HE EVER TREATED TUKEY, AND NEVER LEAVES HIS WHORISH WAYS BEHIND. BUT THE JOKE IS ON KEITH, BECAUSE WHEN TUKEY GETS OUT OF JAIL, SHE WEAVES A WEB OF DESTRUCTION AND REVENGE, THAT WILL EFFECTS EVERYONE INVOLVED, AND SHE IS THE LAST ONE STANDING.
I DONT WANT TO TELL TO MUCH OF THE BOOK, BUT THIS IS THE JIST OF IT, AND BELIEVE ME IT IS A TRUE URBAN NOVEL. MANY MANY TWISTS AND TURNS THAT YOU WONT SEE COMING. THIS BOOK IS ACTUALLY WRITTEN ALOT BETTER THAN MANY OTHER URBAN NOVELS, AND ALOT BETTER EDITTED. THEY WERE'T AS MANY MISPELLED WORDS AND TYPOS. THE ONE MISTAKE I DID COME ACROSS WAS ON PAGE 152, WHERE IT SAID " FEAR CAME ACROSS SELINA'S FACE AS SHE REALIZED HOW ANGRY KEVIN WAS" IT SHOULD NOT SAY KEVIN BUT KEITH!!!!!
OTHER THAN THIS TYPO, IT WAS GREAT, AND THIS KIND OF STUFF REFLECTS ON AUTHORS BUT IT IS THE EDITTING AND PUBLISHING PROCESS WHICH SHOULD CATCH TYPOS. WE AS READERS SHOULD'T HAVE TO FILL IN THE BLANKS.
AS A READER QUENTIN CARTER DELIVERS A STORY IN A POWERFUL WAY. YOU WILL BE HOOKED FROM THE FIRST PAGE, I PROMISE!!!!
IN THE AUTHORS ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS HE SAYS " EVERY STORY HAS BEEN TOLD, BUT IT'S THE WAY I TELL IT THAT KEEPS THE READER TURNING PAGES" HE COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER, CAUSE HE DID THE DAMN THING WITH THIS BOOK!

This book was a page turner I read it sometime last fall I have been waiting for the sequel In Cahootz for ever just saw on line the other day that it will be released this Friday my copy is already on pre-order. I know it's gone be hot! Quentin Carter is a great writer just wish your blessing would have came b4 you got locked up. Keep ya head up and keep up the good work I think writing is one of the best talents a person can have and you were blessed.

This book was definitely something to keep me occupied. The story and the characters were good, but it wasn't hard for me to put down for a few days. Overall, this book won't disappoint you. I'll just say what goes around comes around. Tuki sure did get hers off when it was all said and done. Moire fiyaaa!

When you do wrong,it's coming back at you double. People fall to get. Anyway you have to give it up to Tukey, she knew when enough was enough. If you don't enjoy this book, then you are reading the wrong kind of books

first of all, it took me 6 weeks to read this book. i'm usually finished with a book in about 2 weeks but this one just didnt really catch my attention...
aight this book is supose to be about drug dealing brothers Keith and Kevin who has a friend named Tee. Tee is jealous of them because they have it all, money, cars, and women. So Tee hires the beautiful Selina to try to set Keith up, but Selina fall in love with Keith in the process.
Tukey, who is Keiths baby's momma, feels that she is looseing Keith's love to another woman, so to try to win him back she takes a case for him. but while she is in jail serving her time, she finds out that Keith has went and married Selina. So while in jail Tukey plans to carry out a plot so vicious that all the money in the world wouldn't help Keith recover.

the story line is good but the way it was writen is garbage. you would think Tee would be more of a character in the book, but he really isn't. they might as well not even wrote him in the book. his part in the book was basically useless. The book could have been writen so much better. The plot that Tukey plans to carry out is wack. you would think that it would be better than what it was seeing the way she was raised.
oh and lets not talk about the tacky sex scenes in the book. by chapeter 5 there had already been 3 sexual encounters, and all of them were tacky.
anyway the book aint all that good. its just ok. i would give it 2.5 stars if i could but i cant. so it gets 3 stars just for haveing the lil' cutie first on the front cover, lookin all good and stuff lol.

other books that are so much better than this one are:

Dutch by Teri Woods (brace yourself to this one, Dutch makes K-Dawg seem like a school yard bully)
Dutch 2:angels revenge by Teri Woods (the second of a trilogy, very very good. )

This books was the bomb. I read it in a day and was not disappointed . This is about how much you should never take love for granted. Kieth and Kevin are brothers and got caught up in the game. Keith Let his charm and wit misguide him, not focusing and what is right infront of him. Tukey did everything for him and yet he never said thank you. This is a must read for every one who love someone so much that you would do anything for them only to realize they dont love you back. The author is very intelligent and he never stray away from the point of the story...................

Hoodwinked? YES!!!

This is another tale of hustlin' and what the crack game can get you. Good & bad. Kevin & Keith are a team of two young brothers making so much money that the people around them are watching closer then they could ever imagine. With money, comes bitches and with bitches came plots. After taking one downfall after another, this story takes some twisted turns and the outcome will have you saying DAMN! Behind every hood rich dude, is a bitch that made him one! Unfortunately the men in this story didn't appreciate a down ass chick when they had one. Revenge at its finest!

I gave this book three stars, it wasn't bad it was just wasn't GREAT. After a slow start & some grammar errors, it had some hot juicy intimate scenes & good ending.

Hats off to Quentin Carter for "Hoodwinked." I was hooked until the very end.

Keith and Tukey are high school sweethearts, and they have a daughter together (Mi'kelle). Tukey is a Jamaican beauty who has unconditional love for Keith, and she works with her uncle, Ben, to transport drugs for her man Keith. Tukey takes the fall when Keith's hustle gets busted, and serves two years in prison. I am a die hard Quentin Carter fan. Read this book it's off the hook. Quentin keep on keeping it real about the game baby. I can't wait for his new book contagious to become available. Buy this book you won't regret it.
