Editorial Reviews

Review

"HoofTalk, The Hairline Tells It All offers horse owners one of the most enlightening tours of the hoof I have ever enjoyed. Having never had an "eye for a good shoeing job," I was pleased to find out just how simple it can be to evaluate balance and stress in the hoof...A long-time shoer, instructor and horseman, his system has been tested "on the job," and he does a terrific job of explaining it to you and me. Now I'll be able to look with more educated eyes." -- Pat Ingram, The Quarter Horse Journal, September 1994

About the Author

Lyle "Bergy" Bergeleen, called a "hoof whisperer" by some, was born in South Dakota. He was raised on a farm and has been around horses all of his life. Shoeing since 1969, has continually stived to improve the well-being of all equines. He also holds an education degree from Eastern Washington University.

Bergy's success in restoring to health seemingly hopeless horses, has made him one of the most respected horseshoers internationally. Bergy possesses a wealth of knowledge about equine locomotion. This understanding has led him to develop a highly effective method to bring horses feet back to a "natural" condition as God created them.

Bergy has been sharing his knowledge with others through hands-on training, clinics, books and videos. Information is available on his entire training and certification program.

Bergy now resides in the Northwest with his wife and five children. In his leisure time he enjoys riding, fishing, camping and playing with his children.

Excellent Hoof Anatomy Book whose first chapter deals with the natural approach to horseshoeing. A must for anyone contemplating trimming and shoeing their horses feet correctly. Great! Easy to understand. Lots of great pictures for the examples.
