Even if you can't follow written directions, the diagrams are excellent and very easy to follow. If you can find this book, grab it you will learn more about how to shape using fancy crochet stitch patterns and you will get all the great patterns that are in the book.

This book has great designs. If it is easier for you to follow a diagram
then this is the book for you. If you are an old school crocheter who learned by following directions it may be hard for you to follow the diagrams. It is a clear choice.

I just purchased this book and I am very disappointed in the directions. I am in the middle of trying to crochet the top on the cover, and I feel like the directions/diagrams were written by someone who has never actually crocheted and was just guessing at the process. If you only look at the pretty pictures, you will be impressed. If you actually try to follow the directions, you won't be. I recommend any one of the Leisure Arts pamphlets sold on Amazon for crocheted tops instead.
