This review is from: Hook Me a Story: The History and Method of Rug Hooking in Atlantic Canada (Paperback)
I am a new rug hooker and find myself drawn repeatedly to this terrific book out of the twenty five or so that I've purchased in the last couple of months. I appreciate her open minded view of this artistic endeavor and her encouraging attitude while always instructing as she shows each reader how to be the best rug hooker possible.
The details are there as well as the feeling of having her there with you as you make the important decisions required to proceed. The pictures are worth the purchase and I have enjoyed returning to this book many times for mere relaxation along with the steps that are so very important when just beginning. I value all of this author's books and this one especially. Can't think of anything missing that I long for and I will enjoy this book many times over! It's even a handy size as a take along book. She will be a welcome part of my own personal story telling as I turn my stories into rugs and other beloved project pieces.
