this is a good item don't forget to tilt your steering to it's lowest position on the colume, than put your wheel, break lock on, this way they can't move your steering wheel and remove your lock, and turn your wheels to the curb.

Got this at a great price from Amazon. Shipping fast. I bought 6 of them so that myself and my neighbors could secure our golf carts. Had planned to run it from the pedal to the steering wheel, as the photos seemed to indicate. Discovered that it wouldn't go around either the gas or the break pedals. So, instead I ran it from my steering wheel, over the seat, to the roof pole behind the seat. Stops a thief from sitting in the drivers seat, steering the cart, or lifting the seat to get at my batteries. So, in the end, I'm happy.

I park my Golf Cart in a near-by carport. I realized it was an 'easy target' and I needed some theft protection. After going to several auto stores and finding nothing that would work, I tried an on-line search. I found the "Dr. Hook" (pedal to steering wheel) product, it looked like it would work for a golf cart and was surprised the price was so reasonable. I ordered it and now I am a very satisifed customer and recommend it to my golf buddies.

I use to tease my mom about her antiquated alarm system until I had to start leaving my commuter car in the city on the street overnight...lol... My club is da bomb!!!! Make sure you turn your tires toward the curb, pull up your brake, and lock the steering (turn wheel as far as it turn then remove key) in place before putting on The Club.

I have been using this for over a year on my trucks, which have manual transmission. 1st I used it on a 2005 Ford F-150, now I used it on a 2003 Dodge Ram. The concept is simple, lock your wheel then hook it to the clutch or brake pedal.

If someone wants to cut the steering wheel they can, but for the price this will deter the casual, unprepared opportunistic thief.

Now, for the bad, they key sticks. I have used WD-40 and the it still sticks. The lock seems to be very sensitive to tension in the rod, for example if the rod is very tight on brake & steering wheel (which is should be in theory) the lock won't turn. You have to wiggle it incessantly to get it to loosen the lock up. This is VERY annoying when you are in a hurry. I am concerned I may lock myself from using my own vehicle. This has happened repeatedly, so I can duplicate the issue. So keep that in mind.

I bought this device when my wife & I moved from Maine to Missouri. We had plenty of stops along the way & it's better to have an added security.
My only gripe is that the Key System is just very ordinary, Maybe some people who purchased this device might have the same key as mine. But, it's better to have one than nothing. I'm sure the car thieves will have a hard time.

I like this better than a Club... this works great to lock your steering wheel and gas or brake pedal. I read some reviews about people still getting their car stolen even with this on ---> MAKE SURE TO PIVOT YOUR STEERING WHEEL ALL THE WAY DOWN OR THIS ISN'T EFFECTIVE, a thief merely has to pivot your steering wheel into the lowest position and slide the whole lock bar off... LOL

Installed correctly, I feel that this is a great theft deterrent. If you cant press the gas pedal or turn the steering wheel then you cant drive the car!

The reality is... if someone wants to steal your car bad enough, they will, no matter what anti-theft device you have.

I needed something for the winter mornings while heating my car; my car will not lock while in the start position; it's a c240 and I can not buy a remote start for it. I like that I can attached the lock to the wheel & gas pedal.

I opened the product, and after reading a lot of the reviews, I was skeptical about the function of the lock, so I decided to test it out.

Turns out I can just pull the lock apart, even while it's in the lock position.

I'll be returning the product and looking at other options.
