This is the first half of the HOP Learn to Read Level 1, so you are going to have to rebuy this if you want to continue with the set. Not worth the money. Spend the extra money and buy the one that contains all of Level 1.

Excellent for the price. My four year older is learning to read while enjoying it. She feels so good about being able to read. We have a lot of fun going through the lesson. The disk that came with it allows her to work independently and learn technology skills. I highly recommend this product.

I used this series many years ago to get my son started on reading. We started when he was about 4 and he was actually reading novels at age 7. The only problem is that he was so far ahead of his first grade peers that his teachers got upset with me for "creating a problem in the class."

Anyway, I've bought these books for my kids and their kids and they have, in every case, brought positive results. Phonics is the only way to teach a kid how to read! Too bad our public schools don't use these books!

My 3 and 5 year old children both benefited from this system almost immediately. The set has a great cd that we use in the car while running errands and the kids have both learned every letter sound and even memorized the example words. The method is so effective--sing songy and rythmic. The 3 year old is now so aware of letters--he asks how to spell words constantly. I am sure that if I devoted a little more time to using the whole system, the 5 year old would be reading before kindergarten this fall.

Love this product I had it with my other child and I'm investing in it now. Good starter kit

Bought it for the grandchildren to use, but between

the learning channels and pre-school. Not even opened,

I gave to someone else in hopes they might use it.
