Hooked for Toddlers: 20 Easy Crochet Projects

I hesitated about buying this after the two reviews here but since I have her other books in this series and really like them and since I will have a growing toddler pretty soon, I did order it and I am delighted that I did it too. The projects come from items Hubert has made for her own family over the years as she states in her intro. Since toddlers grow so fast, she has a lot of ideas on how to extend the wear of the projects by adding a few rows or whatever. She uses easy to substitute yarns and a lot of nice cottons which is what I want. Lots of dresses, jumpers, sundress, some cardigans, pullovers, vest, hats. They are so cute I'd like to make them larger for myself! Instructions are good, but I wish there were schematics. Pictures are great and include also the actual yarn used. Refresher on the stitches is at the end of book and the book like the others in her series has a ring binding and opens for ease of use. Welcome addition to the crochet section for toddlers of which there happens to be a real scarcity.

Disappointingly, this book only offers projects for children up to size 2T. I was hoping for 3T and 4T thinking that the "T" stands for "toddler." I suppose I was wrong. There are some cute patterns here, but again, nothing larger than a 2T size.

I love the projects in this book. they are cute and even though I have not made any of them yet the instructions all sound like they will be easy enough to do.

I really liked a lot of the patterns in the book. I was drawn in by the option of flexible sizing, but I was also disappointed that it only went to 2T. You can add the rows to make it larger, but it would have been nice to have the larger sizes included in the patterns.

This book has quite simple projects for beginners like me.

I'm sorry to say that this book was one of my biggest dissapointments. It seems to have been thrown together at the last minute. I'm probably not going to end up making any of the patterns.
