If you have a hankering for REAL alpine jodeling, get this CD.
When I first heard Kerry performing, it brought back fond memories of my Opa (grandfather) and his friends jodeling up a storm in the Olympic mountains, and in the mountains valley meadows when we visited his home in Austria.
Kerry's yodeling calls are in German and English. High on a Mountain, and Lueg Bezyte with the Alpine Horn are outstanding.
For any one wanting to learn how to yodel, Kerry's U2-Can-Yodel is also highly recommended. Both of these Cds are well produced and well worth adding to your CD collection.

Of the few yodel albumns available, "Hooked on Yodeling" is sure to be the most definitve and true to this unique and wonderfully kitch vocal art. Kerry Christensen is a master of this difficult craft and his agility as a yodeler soars to fantastic proportions on specialty cuts such as "The Chicken Yodel" and many others. Emilie Christensen provides us with an unusual introduction to what kids can do with yodeling in "Teach me how to Yodel". I recomend this recording to anyone with a broad sense of humor who is down in the dumps... nothing can bring a smile to the lips faster than a robust yodler going at full speed, and this CD provides just that. The albumn is well produced with some haunting multi-track echo effects, and lyrics mostly in German, with some songs in English. No translation is provided but in the whacky world of yodeling, words are hardly what one is listening for. A great way to cheer yourself up!

If you are alergic to joy, laughter and happiness, stay away from this album. It is infectus.......like a virus. Only this is a good virus. It will make your feet stomp and hands clap. And if you are fortunate enough to have yodelling ability, it would make a wonderful Kareoke. Buy and enjoy.

As someone who learned to yodel in the Adirondacks as a youth and is currently the yodeler for the University Glee Club in New Haven, Ct, I can honestly say that Kerry Christensen's U2-can Yodel CD is absolutely first-rate. I have asked him to consider another one with instructions for some of the more intricate yodels. He knows just what yodeling-learners must do to get their voice to crack properly and he gives the proper exercises in an easy-to-follow and enthusiastic way. The practice yodels are graded in difficulty and easy and very clear. Terrific!

Although I don't own this CD, I've heard it and it's quite amazing. The rendition of "Small World" is bordering on creepy, but overall it's a great CD! I would have never even considered listening to yodeling, but a friend got me to the point where I actually like it... thanks to the infamous Chicken Yodel. Have yourself some fun- go ahead and buy the CD!

I went through a period recently when I had a huge craving to hear some yodeling. After listening to this CD, I don't have that craving anymore. But, I'm sure it will come back. When it does, I'll listen to this CD again.

Kerry Christiansen is THE BEST yodeler I have ever heard. I yodel, so I was drawn to the CD in hopes of learning some of the yodels. Even if you are a beginner there are songs on here that you can learn! The CD skips, but I'm not sure if it's the CD's problem or not. It might just be a defect in this one. If you are the least bit interested in yodeling, buy it!!!!!! If you aren't the slightest bit into it, this CD might just change your mind.

I got this, sort of as a joke, for my husband, who likes to listen to German music when he's on the computer, and who always turns it up when there's yodeling going on. But I must say, you can't help but have a smile on your face when this CD is on. There's just something about yodeling!
