This book has easy to read directions and Judy does a wonderful job explaining the history of hooking with yarn. The pictures in the book are beautiful and display the many rich colors and textures of the different yarns and rug hooking projects. A wonderful book for all ages.

I found the book very clear and helpful. The pointers were excellant and she listed good sources for products. I enjoyed the assistance to try out a new form of hooking for me and it gave me the confidence to start a new project with yarn. I liked that the author described the differences and similarities in using yarn and wool strips.

Very inspirational as well as having good instuctions on how to do this technique too. I'm already spinning up the wool to try this on a rug. But one need not be a spinner to do this as there are lots of yarns on the market that can be used.

This is an outstanding book that explains the basics of rug hooking and the yarns used plus more. The photos are good and show directional stitiching.

I'd recommend this book for a beginner and a review for other levels of rug hookers.
