About the Author
Daryl Hooper was raised in Michigan and studied music from an early age. He moved to California in the late sixties and became a founding member in a well known rock group THE SEEDS. Later he moved to northern California to the Sierra Foothills and "wine country," where he learned to appreciate wine and its complexities. In the mid 1990s, he and his wife, Cathy, traveled to England while filming his own cooking and travel show, and there he met Andy Brown. They became great friends right away, having similar interests in music, cooking and wine. Andy Brown was raised in Yorkshire, in northern England. Andy has studied and achieved many accomplishments in the field of art, music and food. Many of his large murals can be found in hospitals, bars and restaurants in England. He has owned and run his own restaurant in Greece. He has lived part-time in France where he gained his love and knowledge of wine and cheese. At certain times of the year, he teaches art/vacation classes in southern France near the town of Cordes, and can be found on the web at www.la-borie.co.uk. Now Andy and Daryl have written this handy, helpful and fun book for you to enjoy.
