I got this camera because I have a headset with a microphone and just needed to add video to Skype my friends. It has a clip on the back that opens just wide enough to hook onto my laptop, and the retractable cord stays extended until you tug on it to release. I plug it in and I can use it for Skype or Yahoo IM; presumably, it will work for other video chat programs as well. Even though it seems all plastic, everything (clip, retractible cord, and electronics) is holding up very well months later.It DOES have a camera, mounting clip, and USB plug. These features work great! It does NOT have a light, microphone, or installation software. I do not miss them. I just bought a second one for a friend to replace his old, very grainy Logitech webcam. For the price, you really can't beat this little camera!

I use this for my Skype and at first I was a bit skeptical, because when I had opened up the package, it didn't come with any CD or instructions. Turns out... you don't really need one! Just keep plugging it in when you want to test that it works. The quality is pretty good for a cheap webcam, but I tried to get the volume to work and it wouldn't, so I'm assuming there's no built-in mic. Overall, it does its job.
