I am a janitor, this belt though the book says it is right for it, is too tight as other reviewer said. I use a slightly bigger belt.hoover 38528-008 or unknown brand but number is 5287 3100603 GR .... if you force the smaller belt sold here, it will break sooner and not work better. I learned through trial and error! This is NOT this company's fault at all, a manufacturing mistake I think. I do hours vacuuming at work, and these other belts work fine on this machine.

And then prepare to use your bowling words whilst attempting to install this belt. Installing this belt on a windtunnel upright vacuum is akin to forcing a 500-pound woman into a size two girdle. It can be done but it's going to take of effort and there's going to be some pain involved.

Plus, there's the richocet effect. Heaven forbid if the new belt pops free while you're desperately trying to complete the installation, the force with which the rubber belt recoils could shatter glass, puncture plaster walls and/or shoot out someone's eye.

I rated the belt at five stars, but I wish I could vote on the design (which is poor). It takes a few tools, lots of forearm muscles and the patience of Job to get this belt into place. And buying two at one time isn't a bad idea, if you have the organizational skills to remember where you stored that extra belt, 18 months from now when you need it.

Our vacuum went through a belt about once every two years. If you're not thoughtful and careful with the machine, you'll burn through many more belts than that. The belt is the sacrificial lamb in the whole affair and the belt will burn up before the motor.

Like the other reviewers have said, this belt is somewhat tight. This belt (38528-033) will fit on but you have to stretch it pretty far - it's hard to get on. My older belt that was broken had 38528-008 written on it and I'm going to order that one and use it so there isn't too much pressure applied on the motor shaft.

Update: I ordered the 38528-008 and received it today. This belt is larger diameter and about 1/8" wider and is higher quality. It goes on easier and doesn't put as much pressure on the shaft. It works like a charm and is definitely the correct belt.

I had to put the second belt from this order on my vacuum cleaner yesterday...the first one broke, lasted less than 2 months! Amazing, considering I live alone without a lot of foot traffic in my house and don't have the need to vacuum more often than once a week. Actually the belts seem too tight when I replace them, although the product number is correct. Could be old rubber, could be faulty belt, could be a fluke...but I don't plan to purchase these online again. I'll go to a local vacuum cleaner shop to be able to inspect the belt before I buy it.

Fixed my vacuum. Easy to install and as good as new. Can't get any cheaper than this. Thank you. It came with two so I just wrapped the extra around my house a couple times so I will have it as a spare.

The belt was very inexpensive and it had free shipping!! I was surprised by how quickly I received the belt. I will certainly think of this company first next time I need vacuum accessories.

This is just the belt we had been looking for inthe stores and could not find. Only took two seconds to place back on my vaccum and is now running like new.

I am so glad this came with two belts. This is the one we are supposed to have with our vacuum, so we know it is the right size. Unfortunately within 10 minutes of putting it on, it broke. Thankfully we had the other one. With the second one we have had no problems and our vacuum works like a charm once again.

I own a Hoover Windtunnel Bagless etc..., the belt was broken, so I ordered a pair of belts [38528-033]. I replaced the belt with the one I received from Amazon. I tried to use it and broke in less than 30 seconds!! I am a mechanical engineer and I like to solve some designs problems. So I used the broken belt and I add a piece of 3 inches of another broken belt [I sewed the two with nylon] and it worked. Conclusion the belt used or recommended from Hoover are wrong: too tight! If the company [Hoover] wants to solve the problem they only have to change the belts by larger ones, at least 3 inches more. The belt don't need to be so tight.
This is my free recommendation for Hoover!

The new belt took only a few seconds to replace on my Windtunnel U5272-900 vacuum cleaner. Put the belt on the agitator rod and then snap it into place by using the brush roller as a lever. No swearing necessary. :)

This appears to be the correct belt for the U5752 product line. The belt it replaced had the same part number as well.

This review is initially 5 stars as I currently have no problems and will remain so unless the belt breaks in the very near future. :)
