I've been using this filter (with my Hoover windtunnel) for over 10 years and it has never failed me! I will be buying another one soon so that I can wash the old one with water and soap and have an extra one while it is drying...I can't believe that the other poster gave this product a one star because of him NOT reading the instructions. The Hoover Windtunnel is a great little vacuum also!!

This filter may turn out to be ok but it bothers me that it was falsely sold under the Hoover part number. The Hoover part number was no where on the package. This is an aftermarket supplier with their own part number. The physical design of the filter is the same but the filter media looks different. My concern is that the filter material is not hepa media. Hepa is not mentioned anywhere on the packaging.

09/30/11 UPDATE: Ok...THE JURY HAS REACHED A VERDICT. Based on first impressions stated above I originally rated this filter 2 stars. However after 16 months of weekly, heavy use I now give this filter 4 stars for quality. I withhold 1 star for an inaccurate description. This filter serves me as well as the original. I use both filters alternately, cleaning them well after each use with compressed air, which I feel is the only way to get them thoroughly clean. Also I occasionally rinse them with warm water. I must say now that I would buy this filter again.

Bought this in addition to Flair vacuum. Have indoor cats and knew if the vacuum worked, there would be a lot of cat hair. Works great. Easy to change and clean.

this is a great and inexpensive replacement of original filer. this is not a HEPA filter, nor is the original filter come with the vaccum cleaner. so don't pay more for those that claim to be a HEPA filter.

Bought it after our Hoover vacuum seemed to lose power, put this baby in and BAM! Our vacuum is loud as ever because it can breathe!!! And it's cheap, who cares if it's generic, generics aren't necessary worst than original, they might even be better.

This is perfect for swapping filters while one is drying. No it isn't hoover brand but its cheap and works great! No complaints as I don't have to wait for my filter to dry before I use my vacuum.Hoover WindTunnel Canister Vacuum, Electronic Bagless, S3765-040

The generic filter seems to work better than the filter that came with the vaccum.

This looks EXACTLY like the one that came with the vac.
I wanted one for those days I do some heavy cleaning and one gets clogged. While it is drying (after I rinse it clean) I use another one to finish my project.

Not sure it is genuine Hoover. No packaging but it
looks to be as good quality as the original.

Received this in the mail and surprised it wasn't from Hoover, but another brand. Owell, at least it works.
