Convenient but not completely satisfying,

This is a pretty good vac. It picks up the sorts up things you'd normally sweep up, but it's not much use for dust or pet hair. It's good at cleaning up small amounts of liquid and is easy to clean afterward. There are some drawbacks: the power drains too quickly for larger jobs; the attachments are poorly fitting and don't work very well. The Hoover Double-Duty has come in handy on a number of occasions, but I'm still searching for a better wet/dry handheld.

Handy for small jobs.,

My hubby needed a small dustbuster for clean-up on network wiring jobs, and we picked this one up on sale. It has worked well for the light occassional use he gives it, but it is not the easiest to clean out. The attachments are a nice idea, but don't stay in place very well, and are more of a hindrance than a help. Overall, it's okay, but not the best.

not bad,

This vac is ok. It is a pain to clean when you after you use it to suck up water or any liquid. The attachments are pretty useless, but all in all the vac is pretty powerful.

Many of these cordless vacs have no suction and no battery life. (I've gone through two Black and Deckers so far.) Well, so far this Hoover beats the odds. It looks like the one to get-- it holds its charge, and actually picks up what it's supposed to.

Can't hold a charge,
By A Customer
This review is from: Hoover S1117-900 Dubl-Duty Hand-Held Vacuum Cleaner (Kitchen)
Performance was OK overall, but after one year of light use, it does not hold a charge for long. It currently only holds enough energy after a full charge to work for 5 seconds at full power. There is no possibility of replacing the battery, despite the rest of the system working fine. My next one will certainly not be a Hoover.

Just doesn't last,

As others have mentioned, the battery life on this unit just dies after a year. It did do an OK job for the first few months, but ultimatly becomes a "bad investment". If you purchase this unit, you will find yourself shopping for another vac in a year.

Dattery Dies,

This vac worked fine for about a year and then the battery went dead. Now it will only work for a max of 5 seconds. Not a good investment.

We lost our first hand vac just like this when we moved and decided to get this one (same model as lost one) because of how well it works. I screwed the mount into the wall and it plugs in and charges nicely. It has a lot of suction to pick up cheerios and crums. The only draw back I think is that the opening is a little small and some things get stuck. For example, a cheerio fits, but a piece of skittle candy is too fat.

Since we have a dog, and got her as a pup, this product has saved the carpet sooooooo many times. I would not be with out it. One of my better purchases
