Product Description

Can devastation be a good thing? It depends on circumstances. A cyclone is a turbulent wind pattern, like a hurricane, that can speed through an area leaving devastation in its path. The Hoover UH70055RM upright uses cyclonic winds to destroy and vacuum all dust and dirt that are in its path. A HEPA filtration system will seek out micron-sized particles that you can't see. These include microscopic allergens such as mold and smoke molarities. The Hoover UH70055RM Turbo Cyclonic Upright Vacuum Cleaner devours dust, dirt, and all sorts of deleterious shmutz to leave a clean home in its wake. This is a good cyclone!

The Turbo Cyclonic has multiple cyclones that separate dirt at a high velocity, meaning long-lasting suction power, and less cleaning and changing of the filter. With a bottom empty, clean release dirt cup, you'll never have to get your hands dirty. The HEPA filtration system traps nearly 100% of micro-size dust and allergens, and releases clean, fresh air back into your home. Also, the handle converts to a long-reaching extension wand for above-floor cleaning and hard-to-reach areas.

Bottom Release Dirt Cup - No bags to replace or purchase Dual Stage Multi-Cyclonic Technology helps keep filter clean Multi-Surface Height Adjustment - Easy regulation for bare floors or carpet surfaces Filter made with HEPA Media - Traps 99.97% of dust and pollens down to 0.3 microns. 15 WidePath Nozzle for quick cleaning Bagless Yes Auto Cord Rewind No Brushroll Shutoff No Headlight Yes Ready to Use Hose Yes Swivel Casters No Power Cord Length 30 Feet Height Adjustment 5 Levels Telescoping Handle Motor Amps 12 Amps Bumper Type Scuff Guard Nozzle Width 15 Inches Brush Type Motorized Brushroll Crevice Tool Yes Dusting Brush Yes On Board Tools Yes Wand Yes

This vacuum is the heavy and awkward to push around--I have owned other vacuums, and never had any trouble pushing one before. It sucks up dust and dog hair okay, but leaves the room in a terrible dusty smell (i.e. you cannot vacuum without having the windows open for a day--not practical in winter or summer). It smells like it shoots out as much dust as it sucks in. We have only had this machine for 6-7 months--it was smelling bad almost after 1 month--even with trying to clean it out between uses. I am not happy with this purchase.

I always do my homework before a purchase. I knew Hoover's are loud so no complaints. They really aren't way out of line there. That's the price of a strong suction. I too disagree with the negative reviews. This is a powerful vacuum cleaner that does a thorough job picking up pet hair and everything else it is designed for. I don't notice any dust blowing around or any obnoxious odor if I put all the filters back after cleaning and properly seating the removeable debris holder. If those components aren't installed correctly then dust blowing can occur. It isn't hard to push around and my wife and I are in our mid 70's (yes, I am a male vacuumer). Homework also reveals the weight so no problem there either. Other than normal wear the belts last as long as comparable vacuums. Of course if I mis-use it then they won't. By that I mean running over rug tassles, toys, etc. It is not designed to accomodate those items. I recommend this and I only paid $79. I knew what I was buying! Can't beat the value/price.

Well I said I wouldn't buy another Hoover after the last one (self-propelled Wind Tunnel - no suction and belt broke after 1 month) but I took a chance and got the Turbo Cyclonic. I won't complain about the suction, it's good enough and better than the last light weight Dirt Devil I bought, and I won't complain about the noise - I could care less how noisy it is, I want it to clean. What I will complain about is two things - one, the "carpet level adjuster" just spins without adjusting anything. I turned it upside down and examined it and it just doesn't come anywhere close to the wheel assembly - poorly manufactured. Second, I thought the handle would remove easily to use the tools but you have to remove the hose at the bottom and attach it to the handle tube anyway so what's the difference? With my $40 DD I had to remove the hose to attach it to the tools, I'm no better off. In fact I'm worse off because with the bagged vacuums, you only change the bag once every two months or so, with the bagels vacuums, you have to clean it out after every use. What's the commotion over bagless vacuums??! When I took my last Hoover in to be fixed after one month I was told (by a Hoover rep no less) "Don't buy expensive vacuums, they're all garbage - buy a cheap one and use it till it breaks." That's when I bought the $40 DD which lasted these 2 years so I guess I got my money's worth. No more Hoovers for me.

This vacuum worked great for maybe two weeks. It did a great job cleaning the carpet. At first the only bad thing was how frequently I had to empty the dust bin, but I was fine with that since it was doing such a good job. But I've had it about five months now, and the clear plastic tube leading to the dust bin gets jammed full of lint, pet fur, etc. after about two minutes of vacuuming. To clear the jam I either have to remove the screws holding the plastic tube together to the vacuum (the back half of the tube is molded into the canister part of the vacuum, or fold up strapping tape and try to ease it down the tube over and over again, gradually pulling out little bits of the jam. Also, it overheats very quickly, and the auto shut-off thing kicks in, so I have to stop and let the vacuum cool down for about an hour before it will work again. Vacuuming the three carpeted rooms in my home is an all-day process with this vacuum.

This vacuum is horrible. It overheats during a routine vacuuming and shuts off. It sucks up dog hair, but the hair gets trapped in the hose. I've had it for a little over a year and it's stopped working.

do NOT buy this deadbeat machine! not only have the belts broken twice, but we've only used it 6 times in a small area. it's heavy, noisy and worse it spews dirt throughout and leaves a nasty odor. forget using the hose to vacuum corners since it's so short the entire device falls over and that thing hurts! hoover really disappointed us.

The vacuum cleaner stopped working within 5 months of purchase because the belt was torn. When I called Hover customer service, they told me the belt was not covered in the 1-yr warranty (surprise!). I used the vacuum cleaner only 7-8 time since I bought it, and the usage was pretty light for which the belt should not tear. Would not recommend anyone this product because its poor in quality.

When I had to buy a new vacuum, I thought this vacuum was a safe option for buying something reliable and didn't cost a lot of money. Just remember, You get what you paid for (usually). It does a good job sucking up crud off the floor, especially dog hair. My problems with the machine is when pulling the hose off to do situation specific jobs. You need to have the base near where ever your job is, cause it will tip over, which gets real frustrating. I have not thrown the thing out the window (which I usually do when something doesn't work) yet. If you are looking for something under $100 and not expecting it to work like a Miele, they are great.
