This review is from: Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Rewind Plus Upright Vacuum, Bagless, UH70205 (Kitchen)
Before buying this vacuum, I checked on Consumer Reports website to find the best solution for my cat hair issue. I was amused to find out the pet they used to test the vacuums ability to pick up pet hair was the exact breed of cat I own - a Maine Coon. This fluffy feline sheds fur everywhere. I would literally have to get down on my hands and knees to brush the fur from my area rug, despite owning a high priced vacuum. Anyways, after reviewing their website, I chose this product, and I am amazed on the results. Not only do I not have to pre-brush anymore, it picks up the fur pretty much on the first push across the rug ... Maybe I will not dread vacuuming anymore.

This doesn't need to be a long review. Basically, the main brush doesn't turn. The manual says you can set the height at the lowest setting. I have typical construction grade carpet in a new house. The main brush will not turn on the lower 3 settings. Once I raise it up enough to turn, the brushes are barely touching the carpet, and simple fuzz or dirt doesn't get picked up.
The culprit seems to be the on/off lever for the main brush belt. There is a spring in there, and it doesn't apply enough force on the belt to engage the motor shaft and brush. The lever is actuated by foot. I don't know why they don't have a stronger spring in there. I'm a mechanical engineer, and I am incredibly surprised this design ever made it to the market. If it wasn't for this HUGE issue (the main purpose of a vacuum, a rotating brush), this would be a good vacuum. I'm going to look for a similar Hoover, but one that you can't turn off the brush. Their method for switching is a major failure. I read one review of the UH70210 model, I believe, and someone mentioned the brush problem. That was absolutely serious and true. Save your time, and don't buy this thing. It kind of worked for the first time I used it, but I could hear and see the changing RPMs of the roller. The window by the brush is nice. It's good here, so you know your vacuum is not functioning. Get something different. I can't warn you enough.

Yes, I read many reveiws before buying. I have a friend with $400.00 Dyson. Dyson attach hose is longer & cord is longer. But for me I like the rewind feature over longer cord. I use a long reach shop vac for ceiling work.I feel the quality of this vac is equal to $400.00 vacuums. However, the truth is bagless vacs belong in area of dust & are always covered in dust. If you do not want dust, get a bag vac & toss the dust with the bag. Amazon ships fast & has always been fair in price & shipping.
