I love this vacuum. It works great and it is easy to use. I really like the fact that my old Hoover attachments fit this vacuum as well. I held on to an old dust brush which I love to use on lampshades, etc. and it fits this vacuum as well. Same goes for my extension wands.
I used to have a Dyson Animal which I absolutely HATED! What a pleasure to use this vacuum instead. Only one criticism - only one short extension wand came with the vacuum. Need to use my old Hoover extension wands to reach the baseboards, etc.

We now have 2 vacs. The older is a 12 year old Kenmore made mostly of metal and this unit made mostly of plastic. Both materials are durable. The Hoover comes with a pet attachment we use to vacuum the stairs (we have no pets) and it works well. The unit as a whole works well. The hose is tough yet flexible - more flexible than the Kenmore. However the Kenmore can open completely horizontal so it may be easily pushed under a raised bed. This unit seems to bump into the hose connection when opened almost to the horizontal. If it went all the way down we'd give it 5 stars. One thing we've learned about vacs over the years is the really inexpensive ones (<100 bucks) are usually junk, however a high price doesn't equate to quality. Read CR for more info.

This is proving to be a great vacuum cleaner for sucking up the cat hair we have all over the house. Our rugs look much cleaner than they did when we were using the old Panasonic vacuum cleaner. Great suction. In our cats' night-room, we have a queen bed that is covered with an old quilt. The Hoover pet hair tools clean the quilt in about 20% of the time we used to spend with a typical vacuum brush attachment.

The WindTunnel T-series pet upright is a great machine for the price. This is my second one and I have pets. This machine picks everything up in one pass, great suction. It is light weight and user friendly. Picks up fine cat hair from my two pets on one pass. I have arthritis and can not squeeze my hands around the handle of most vacuums, but the WindTunnel is very light weight so there is no fighting with it to clean. It glides along. I love the fact that it has bags. Believe me, I had a bagless before and the mess and dust of cleaning the container is horrible..not worth the trouble. Just empty the bag and it is out of sight and a clean one goes in the vacuum without any dust or fuss. I have been cleaning for over forty years and have tried all the vacuums out there, nothing beats Hoover...

Will never buy anything but a Hoover ever again!,

I bought this vacuum last month after doing some home work. I was a little worried because of some negatve reviews on how light it is. I love this vacuum and it does an incredible job with removing the hair of two large long haired dogs.
I previously owned hoover vacuums and loved them. My last Hoover finally died after 15+ years and probably would have been fine if I hadn't tried to vacuum up pebbles from the kids shoes. I bought a bissel pet hair eraser thinking it might do better on pet hair. The hand tool stopped working after a month and the suction continued to get weak despite the constant filter cleaning. My carpet looked dingy and the nap would no longer pick up. Although the bissel still works, it will be retired to my office where the demands of a vacuum are not so tough. After one use of the new hoover on my living room carpet, the nap picked back up, the dingy look (black dog) disappeared and it looked like my carpet was at least 2 shades lighter. The bag did fill up after one day but this is not something I would expect after regular use since the bissel didn't pick up much. The rubber on the rollers does a great job of attracting the dog hair and lint. The suction in the hose is very powerful and I like how it locks into place so that it is not hanging in my way when not in use. The bags are easy to attach and release and the cord in a nice long length. This vacuum is a great value for the price! UPDATE: After using this vacuum for a few months now I still love it! The light weight is easy to use on stairs and the suction is still as powerful as day one. The rubber on the attachments has made my sofas pet hair free. I don't get as much kick back on bare floors as I have with other vacuums. I'm thinking about purchasing another one to keep on a different floor since I have 3 floors and like to have quick, easy access if company comes over. Great purchase, well worth the money. NEW UPDATE: I don't normally keep updating reviews but found another feature about this vacuum that may be helpful. I use the rotating hand tool often and never had problems with it. One day it stopped rotating and I thought it was either a loss or if I had the patience, would take hours and multiple tools to fix. I was pleasantly surprised to find that on the back of the hand tool has two easy sliding clips that allows access into the rollers. After a few seconds of clearing trapped furr in the gears and rollers, I popped the back on, fastened the clips, and went back to vacuuming. No tools needed! Hope this helps others!

I received this 3 days after ordering it from Amazon, in perfect condition. I put it together in about 5 minutes, and started using it right away. Here are my opinions:
PROS: 1. Extremely easy to put together! 2. Very light - I had a very nice Bissell bagless which had terrific suction but was quite heavy and plain nasty to clean out. So I have switched back to a bagged vacuum. 3. Maneuverable - Goes nearly everywhere. 4. Suction is awesome - living with 3 cats, there is loads of cat-hair to pick up as well as litter that inevitably goes everywhere in the house. 5. Nice, long cord. 6. Seems to have a good assortment of tools. I haven't used any yet so may update this review after trying them out. CONS: 1. I don't like how the setup is done for winding the cord up. It is also where the vac hose goes on the back of the machine. I just wound up the cord & stuck it in the handle area & that seems to be fine. It's only going to be in a closet 'til I use it again & then of course the cord will be in use. 2. It didn't go as flat as I'd hoped it would so didn't go all the way under beds/desks. But that's not a huge drawback for me. Overall I really, REALLY like this vacuum cleaner so far! I have recurrent metastatic cancer & often I'm on chemotherapy which makes me quite weak. I think this will be easy to use even when I am getting infusions. YAY can keep house & get treated!!!

Hoove PAWS- Finally!,

This review is from: Hoover WindTunnel T-Series Pet Upright Vacuum, Bagged, UH30310 (Kitchen)
I first bought a Bissle Bagless vacuum cleaner, but the brush roll did not shut off and it blew dirt all around my kitchen floor. I returned it. Then I bought a Hoover Windtunnel Bagless and thought the brush roll turned off, until I read the fine print *only available on certain models. I also found the bagless to be dirty and gross when dumping the canister. Dirt and "stuff" all caught in the cone filter and I had to stick a screwdriver into the small hole to try to clean it out. I returned it. Finally I bought the Widntunnel PAWS Pet approved and really like it! The brush roll has a turn off option which I really needed. You can shut it off when you use the hand tools and when you vacuume on hard floor surfaces. The second nice thing is that it uses bags and I don't have to deal with the gross mess of dumping the filled canister. This vacuume has a nice "bag full" feature which tells you when the bag is full. The noise on this vacuume is the same as most others, moderatly loud. The tools are easily accessible, although, it only comes with one wand, so I use an extra from my old vacuum and attach it to make it longer. I would recommend ordering from Amazon! They had the best price and shipping was fast! I could not have found a better deal!

Too Lightweight For the Price...Expecting More.,

Maybe I'm picky, but after reading the reviews I was expecting more of a vacuum. It's lightweight, but because of that, it doesn't seem to have good suction like heavier duty vacuums. It doesn't feel like a vacuum that's worth the $139 price, more like a under $100 vacuum. I've even tried putting it on the lowest carpet level and it still barely leave those lovely carpet lines to feel like you've gotten deep within the fibers. This vacuum may be fine for a home with few carpets or a little apartment. I will be returning this and looking at heavier suction vacuums.
PROS: lightweight several choices of on board tools bare floor choice option bagged instead of bagless, which I prefer long cord CONS: noisy, mine has a high pitch squeal the entire time I'm vacuuming not powerful suction, even on lowest carpet setting the supposedly long hose is not really that long when using the hose the opening spews out dust...no cover only one extension pole for the hose

I searched through many reviews for a new vacuum, and this one fit the bill. Love the attachments, great for cleaning dog hair off my new sectional sofa. I have two Boston Terrier's so I needed a vacuum that would clean up after them. The only complaint I would have is about the hose being too short. It's not a huge problem for me, but an extra foot or two on the hose would have been nice. It's easy to change the settings on the vacuum from bare floors to carpet. Easy to change the bags, as well. The attachments are wonderful for pulling the hair off the sofa, and I love that it has a HEPA filter. It is lightweight and the price was right. This is my 5th Hoover, they last a long time. I wouldn't own any other brand!

Great vacuum,

I bought this about a year ago through amazon and it has been great. I got tired of bagless vacs with the dust and cleaning the filters and replacing them. I put this thing through the wringer when I moved it with my lady, and I am happy to say it did great. I don't like power paws in general but at least this one you can easily dissemble to fix it when it gets tangled with hair, my last vac didn't have that you just threw it away : The only reason I didn't give this a 5 stars is that where you insert the bag it isn't a rubber seal but still it does its job. Also it has a gauge to tell when it is full, well when it turns a little red (signaling full) it really is full don't keep vacuuming waiting for it to go all the way red or you will end up with a time consuming mess...
