We had the Hoover Wind Tunnel Vac for 4 years (?), I noticed that the Hepa filter was missing, so I hopped on Amazon to get that, then I see that the cylinder filter was cheaper here so I got that and then I saw this "Secondary Filter"... I had no idea that my vac had one, so I ordered it (for $4). I got it quick (it came in an normal envelope, nothing impressive) and I started to look for the where to replace it... so if you remove the canister, and look where that rests, there is a plate held down with a screw and a hole that the air goes though.. yep that is where it should go.

I unscrewed the plate, pulled my old one out, it was as black as coal! Popped the new one in, and screwed the plate down. I think you could flip this since it seems like the air only goes though one-half of the filter at a time, but we will see.

I replaced a disgusting filter with a new one, good idea in my book.

Is it OEM... nah, does that matter, nope.

This is not OEM and it was wrong item. They charge a 20% restocking fee and buyer paids for shipping.

I looked at many stores to find these filters for my vacuum cleaner. Decided to check Amazon (duh!!) and found them. Exactly what I needed and now the vacuum is cleaning better. Good price I thought and timely shipping.

It fit right and was easy to install. My vacuum works better after replacing the filters.

There is nothing really wrong with the product it's self. I just can't give 5 stars to a product that cost so much when it is clearly a cheap product to make. Maybe next time I will just get the material and cut one out myself.

Yep, its a total fake. You get a white filter through the US mail in a standard envelope. No Hoover packaging, just the white filter dropped into an envelope (The black filter container shown in the picture is not included). Obviously these guys are buying rolls of stock filter material and cutting them to shape. The filter material is about half the thickness of an original Hoover filter.

It is not OEM, and it does not fit all Windtunnel models. It certainly doesn't fit in my U6637960 model. At least Amazon is paying for the return postage and has said nothing about a restocking fee. And if you go to Hoover's website, this filter is not even listed as a part for Windtunnel U6637 series. Deceptive and a total waste of time, even for a $4 part.

The filter that I received was not multilayered like the original, but it fit and I used it. It doesn't appear to be able to filter as finely as the original.

3 yrs old filter needed replacement. Did it, done for another 3. It's a filter what more can you say it filters. Duh !!!

I finally got tired of the stinky air coming from my Windtunnel vacuum. I purchased this along with the other two filters and am very pleased. I intend to keep my replacements going more often!
