How can the listing say First Time On DVD ? All the Hopalong Cassidy movies and the Hoppy television shows are ALL available from another company. What is so RARE about this ?? Nothing on this set is new. I know for I own all of the movies and TV shows on DVD.

How can you even consider purchasing an item when you don't know it's content. This is typical of cheap dvds, no listing of titles. Get real.

Yes, the price is right for seven movies -- but it's also too good to be true. Each one of these seven films features a transfer from a washed-out, beat-to-crap print, and at least one (BORDER PATROL) is missing footage, approx. the first ten minutes of the movie! This is the first time in my life I'm tempted to return the DVD on the grounds that it features a lousy transfer. The great photography of Russell Harlan and the charm and power of William Boyd's acting both deserve better treatment.

Transfers from the original source are poor. The films in this collection are not in restored condition and are not rare.

If you are looking for some of the harder to find Hopalong Cassidy movies in decent condition look no further. The quality is good so is the sound. May be some parts missing in one of the Films but the parts that are there seem to work well enough. "Sunset trail" and "In old Mexico" are 2 that I needed to add to my almost complete collection. The extras are interesting as well.
