Editorial Reviews

Review

The Thessalonians epistles are in many ways a primer to doctrine, and especially prophecy, written by Paul to a congregation of young Christians. Considering the letter's destination, it is an amazing revelation of many doctrines in answer to their questions. Prominent in the book is the doctrine of prophecy and that of the Rapture. This commentary is accurate, scholarly, understandable, and comprehensive.

A CONCISE, CLEARLY WRITTEN, VALUABLE TOOL FOR UNDERSTANDING AND PROCLAIMING THE THESSALONIANS EPISTLES. WRITTEN FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE GREEK TEXT.

It is rare to find a detailed, expository commentary on 1 and 2 Thessalonians from a traditional dispensational perspective. Mal Couch and Ed Hindson have done a service in presenting Paul's two letters to the Thessalonians so that pastors, Bible teachers, and thoughtful Christians can more easily grasp and apply their valuable truth.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Premillenial Commentary, November 29, 2008

This review is from: The Hope of Christ's Return: Premillennial Commentary on 1 and 2 Thessalonians (Hardcover)
This is an excellent commentary. Mal argue his arguments from the Greek text. His comments most of the time new and he does not write what other commentators wrote. I found many comments very helpful that even the very known commentaries did not have. Although the commentary is written in defense to dispensationalism (which I agree to)it is so helpful if you want to dig into the Greek text of both letters. The introductional information is somewhat helpful. Overall the commentary is well done and refreshing.
