5.0 out of 5 stars Love the film Love the music more
I liked this movie. What's not to like with Sandra Bullock in it. Throw in a little Harry Conick Jr and you have a movie that is at least good to look at.
But the music is what makes this movie. I bought the Soundtrack soon after the movie came out but along the way it got lost. After purchasing and watching the movie several weeks ago I decided I needed the CD...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the original soundtrack
I had lost this CD some time ago so I decided to purchase it again and I did not realize it wasn't the same exact one. It did not have the Garth Brooks version of "To make you feel my love" that I prefer. Also it had about 4 different songs at the end that were new that I didn't really care for.

It is just as good the second time around.
The only drawback to the CD is that the Garth Brooks version of "To Make You Feel My Love" is not on there. You have to buy one of Garth's CD's to get that. It does have the Trisha Yearwood version though.
Be careful that you pick the cd with the picture with Sandra Bullock and Harry on it. There is another cd out there that bills its self as the soundtrack to Hope Floats but it is only the instrmental music that was written for the movie not the songs.
Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Hope stays afloat, April 24, 2008
This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
'Hope Floats' was lifted from being an OK movie to something more memorable by the soundtrack, which includes at least half a dozen great songs. My favourite - 'To make you feel my love' - features Garth Brooks but, on the CD is sung instead by Trisha Yearwood: and her version is simply wonderful. It's a CD worth listening to

3.0 out of 5 stars Soundtrack review, January 23, 2008
This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
Capitol Records reaches into their vault to expand the Soundtrack to the Sandra Bullock/Harry Connick Jr. love story Hope Floats (I assume an expanded DVD is on the way as well). Sheryl Crow ("In Need"), The Rolling Stones ("Honest I Do"), and Bryan Adams ("When You Love Someone") deliver solid rock ballad performances despite it not being their A-material. For the most part, the Soundtrack is a country ballad affair with sprinklings of pop (Barry Manilow) and R & B (The Temptations). This expanded edition includes six tracks that were not included in the original release; Barry Manilow - "Daybreak," The Temptations - "I Can't Get Next to You," Paul Davis - "Cool Night," Laura Harding - "Who Cares Anyway," and Dave Gruusin - "Justin & Birdie."

3.0 out of 5 stars There are two Hope Float CD's, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
There are actually two different Hope Floats Soundtracks. The first one that came out in 97 has Garth Brooks track of "To Make You Feel My Love." This one doesnt have it. So make sure you look at the year the cd was released. I love the original that came out a whole lot better. I do need the extra tracks.

5.0 out of 5 stars An old favorite, June 17, 2009
This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
This is one of my all time favorite albums as well as movie. The music really is beautiful. The movie definitely gives a person who's been there much hope as the title suggests. And, it's always one to listen to when you need to get in touch with your heart. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Songs you know by heart, June 24, 2008
This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
I adore this soundtrack. It's in my car and I listen to it and sing along with it almost each week. Good old fashioned love songs, country songs and songs about hope. So good I'd buy it for all my friends (not the guys...but definitely the women)!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great variety of music., March 8, 2008

Lost this cd years ago and I have been searching for it ever since. Great music. Love it! Wish Garth Brooks would have sung the title song, instead of Trisha Yearwood.

3.0 out of 5 stars No Garth Brooks, July 2, 2007

This review is from: Hope Floats (Audio CD)
Very disappointed that the Garth Brooks version of To make you feel my love is not included. It was on the original tape cartridge version. O.K., Trisha Yearwoods version is nice, but when one thinks this particular soundtrack--well, where is Garth Brooks?
